You nailed it precisely Dennis. OG is a gamer on another site. As Tom
and Ray, the Car Talk guys, say, the man who tries to save the most,
spends the most. It's somewhat like gambling. It's more about being in
the game than winning.

Like Ralph Kramden on The Honeymooners.

Sad to say, my daughter is like that. Her first husband (poor guy died of
cancer many years ago) was like that in spades - they reinforced each other.

That isn't my primary impression, but there may be some truth to it.

Tell the realtor that you will buy it when they get it rezoned
because you cant borrow for it with the current zoning.

See if any other lender is prepared to lend on that property.

Having a flight of fancy -- "renting" out my guest bedroom in exchange
for housekeeping, maybe some meal preparation, etc.

Anyone have stories, horror or no? What did you do to make sure you
got a good person? Thanks all.

Anyone who has done it has.

> What did you do to make sure you got a good person?

There is no way to make sure.

References can help, but they arent hard to fake up and
just like with job references, there is a real tendency to
give glowing references to get rid of a dud etc.

A trial period can be useful, but that isnt possible in quite a few
legal jurisdictions where that is covered by the law in most.

I haven't done it in exchange for housekeepig or whatever. Some
years ago, a friend of a friend had moved to the area and was
working for a while, deciding whether to stay long-term. Said
friend was able to put him up for a short period, but asked if
we could offering something longer-term, so he stayed in our
spare bedroom in exchange for helping with bills.

What you're looking at might be appealing to someone who is, for
example, a college student, and therefore has to think about room
and board and all that.

First don't give them your checking account numbers. If you do you
will get F.
They can take money. You can not get it back if you do. Your bank
won't give your money back to you.

By the way.

eBay Inc. owns PayPal, but in some ways, they remain independent. This
means that, while your PayPal and eBay accounts work together, they
are still managed separately. In some cases, certain things can only
be done at PayPal.com.

So look out.

When my folks died, I balooned on McDungLumps until chums turned me on
to ChopHay sandwich shops. I still can't freaking comprehend how a
hamburger which should have two hundred calories ends up with five
times that. Still, McDungLumps has one thing in their corner, their
quality control would make any industrialist drool. Their product is
consistent anywhere in the world. In some foreign countries, after
all the fancy local foods, I crave McDungLumps. Sometimes I go there
just for the restroom.

A lot of shoes blister my toes and crack my toenails.
I tried putting brad tacks on shoe horns.
Any better ideas to expand the show at the little toe.
