You've obviously never seen a family that doesn't get along with each other.
That's where some of the absolute worst fighting over division of an estate
can occur. In those cases, an outside executor is a really good idea. Doesn't
always work, though; lawsuits against the executor or the estate are used
by unhappy inheritors quite frequently, trying to get what they want.

The most obvious potential conflict of interest is when the executor is just one of the beneficiarys.
Not that I think that that is a good reason for them not to be a beneficiary,
particularly with a very simple estate like his where it makes sense to
minimise the capacity of 'professionals' to leech on the estate.

Sure, but not everyone can do that. He clearly didnt consider
what happens if they all die in the same accident etc.
Even just a very clear and unambiguous will does not ensure
that there wont be a legal shit fight over the distribution, if the
executor doesnt do exactly what the will says or one of the
beneficiarys like say the son in this situation decides that he
doesnt like what the will explicitly says and attempts to get
the legal system to deliver what he wants instead. Shit happens.

I'm not disputing your numbers, though the Better Than Bouillon web site
says a serving of their chicken base (1 teaspoon) has 680 mg of sodium -
almost twice as much as what you quote.
But it doesn't address the question of commensurate servings - how much
water does the package say to use with 1 teaspoon of Better Than Bouillan?
How much water does the package say to use with one cube of Herb Ox? I
didn't see that information on the web site for either product, and since I
don't use this kind of stuff, I can't check in my own kitchen.
Also, whatever the answer in this specific case, that provides the relative
amounts of sodium between Herb Ox and Better Than Bouillan, not between
Better Than Bouillon and bouillan cubes generally. For all I know, Herb Ox
may have more sodium than most, or less, or anything in between.
Lastly, Herb Ox also provides sodium-free versions that have zero grams of
sodium per serving.

I see the problem. The jar I have is "Organic, Better than Boullion,
Reduced Sodium." It is not on their web site. Maybe it's a Costco-only
product. Often Costco gets manufacturers to produce higher quality,
Costco-Only SKUs that other stores can't get.

It it's quad band it will have both U.S. bands. No 3G (1700 MHz) band
for T-Mobile, but it doesn't matter because T-Mobile prepaid doesn't let
you use their data services anyway. Watch out for those models with
proprietary operating systems.
Personally I'd find a used 2G iPhone and get it unlocked so it'll work
on T-Mobile. The original 2G iPhones are still around $200 used though.
What's happening is that parents are loading up their old iPhones with
kid's applications, then upgrading to newer iPhones, and giving the old
ones, with no phone service, to their kids, so there aren't a lot of the
old ones on the market.

Sure the iPhone has WiFi. Look on craigslist for unlocking services.
It's amazing how well the old iPhones hold their value. Probably because
even without the phone part it's essentially an iPod Touch with a camera
and a good toy.
