How sad for you that you haven't the
nads to admit your error, but instead
have to censor posts thinking that
somehow doesn't make you look the fool.

I found there is a point in the key's travel, that turns the engine off
while not being completely locked, but that just might be VW's.
I see someone selling a Prius in the paper today, comes with the factory
warrantee. They want more than $25 for the car. I'll pass.

My VW doesnt lock the steering until you remove the key from the lock.

Yep. That works fine. In fact, depending on the event and the venue,
I've done that a few times myself. Only problem is, traveling shows
frequently don't open local box offices until they arrive in town and
start setting up. By that time the prime seats for the entire run
have already sold on the internet. Of course the OP is buying four
tickets for $38.00. Knowing what Ringling charges, those are "cheap
seats" and, unless it's a total sell out, will probably be available
right up until show time. His contention that they charge to buy and/
or pick up the tickets at the box office is not consistent my
experience attending live shows for many, many years (decades,
actually).

Around 1982 our AAA affiliate (CSAA) was pushing "All Risk" insurance to
their auto insurance policy holders. It was somewhat like an extended
warranty, but it was a yearly fee added onto your car insurance. I fell
for the hard sell because I had already had a few problems with my 3
year old car.

The "All Risk" coverage was poorly written and did not exclude wear
items other than brakes. So shocks, struts, clutches, and CV joints,
were all covered.

About two years after I got the policy, my transmission went out. AAA
paid $2200 for a new transmission, then told me they were canceling my
insurance (all of it, not just the "All Risk" portion). I convinced them
to let me keep the regular insurance part of the insurance.

I'd never go back to CSAA insurance. Change the C to a U for the best
insurance.

Question #2 Since this car was pre-recall years, was this guy looking
for this 15 minutes or a juicy law suit?

The fewer the Toyotas, the fewer stupid drivers, so let him get rich!

This is the equivalent of riding an automatic bicycle! Actually they
are not that bad but they are heavy. Anyway they don't kill people.

Umm, it's "Crohn's" and you can prevent it (or at least decrease symptoms)
by not eating wheat. Hell, removing wheat from your diet will prevent all
sorts of problems. While wheat/gluten is not the source of all auto-immune
problems, it's certainly an easy place to start. Remove it from your diet
and if your symptoms go away you've just cured your "disease"

[the following is an undated newspaper clipping, that seems to
be in favor of giving more money to missions. But what are
missions? but sexually satisfied spinsters looking down on us
for wanting to live while spending all their time knitting
sweaters for Zulus. So this seems to be the question, a
seemingly hard one: what choice will it be Americans, gum or
Zulus?]

SOME AMERICAN TENDENCIES

BY REV. E. D. RIEBEL

It is a comparatively easy matter to be an alarmist. There are
always conditions which can be magnified out of their proportion
in order to prove certein preconcieved notions. However, this ought
not to prevent an honest facing of the facts.

While statistics are uninteresting, nevertheless, when properly
analyzed, they are helpful in dignosing actual conditions. A careful
consideration of the following chart cannot help but reveal certain
tendencies in American life of today.

> $ 1,823,279,783 Tobacco
> $ 805,906,990 Confectionary
> $ 541,841,120 Drugs and Patent Medicines
> $ 107,304,100 Perfumes and Cosmetics
> $ 92,232,280 Gum
> $ 44,000,000 Missions
>
> Comparative outlay of the American people in one year. How the
> people value the missionary cause in comparison with certain private
> gratifications

That this chart is far from complete is easily recognized. We have
no mention here of the money that is expended for illicit booze,
gambling, and all attendent vices.

However, there is enough evidence presented in this chart to reveal
the condition that the American people are spending money freely
for many non-essentials. There is no question but what we are
passing through a spending orgy. Recognizing this tendency in
American life, an outstanding football player will forfeit the
privilege of graduation from his university, capitalize his playing
ability, and, if newspaper accounts are reliable, in three weeks
of playing, accumulate the sum of $100,000. While it is but natural
to pass judgement upon the individual player, nevertheless, what
he has been able to do, is because of the response he has received
from an amusement-loving public.

This condition of affairs presents a supreme challenge to the
Christian church. Just how far Christian people are helping to
swell the expenditure of money for non-essentials is for each
individual Christian to answer. In view of the apparent ease with
which the American people are spending money for personal gratification,
it would be a sad commentary upon American life if the various
Christian and philanthropic enterprises should be made to suffer
beacuse of lack of funds. And of all Christian enterprises, the
missionary cause is one that MUST NOT FAIL. (DETROIT, MICH.)
