I never agree with Christians or any other religious cults. They have
far too much power and are a major cause of a great deal of strife and
destruction in our world.

See, now he won't make to the safe haven where us, the Free Spirits of
the Universe, reject mental masturbation --religion-- and accept
Climate Change as Good Science as well as Common Sense.

That's why so much money goes into Star Wars, right?

I think the Rapture will end with the Big Shots taking a spaceship to
Mars. Then they will ponder on the value of having lied all along.

Isn't it wiser to live a simple life, ride a bicycle and lay a hammock
under a mango tree?

God wants the Christians to use their credit cards and buy SUVs. It's
all part of the Master Plan to create war and pollution in the world,
thus rushing the race to the End Times.

In reality though it is the Jews who have this conspiracy to take all
over the world, while the Chinese provide the goods under the guise of
Globalization.

That's the word in the street anyway. ;)

Buddha gave me this job to do, and I'm here.

This is like Newton's apple but instead a mango tree to wake up
humanity to reality. Get it?

Ed ... truth be told you have dome much the same as TM in the past,
but TM goes you one better in dominating the newsgroup with spamming
posts that surpasses even your best efforts. Do I detect the reak
reason for your outrage? Could it be that you are just jealous that
someone has succeeded in out doing you? And, what's with this
destroying the newsgroup stuff? I thought you reserved that "honor"
for Ed Gin. Are you now saying that Ed GIn failed at the task and TM
now is the benefactor of the honor you once bestowed upon Ed Gin ...
the destroyer of the newsgroup? I'm not sure you should have laid
down the gauntlet regarding cross-posting of multiple threads on other
newsgroups. Usenet is not a moderated forum/ TM may rise to the
challenge and you'll not be able to do a thing about it, except throw
a tantrum (rave, rant, and do some name calling), none of which will
be at all effective, so goo luck with that.

I never spammed - ever! Nor did I ever post multiple threads on a single
subject. Also, I was never an idiot like TM. As usual, you are unable to
make meaningful discriminations.

Jealous of a poor crazy bastard like TM? You have got to be kidding!

Ed Gin was only with us briefly. This god damn son of a bitch TM never goes
away.

I do not care about the cross-posting, but I will step on his original posts
if he does not post anything original. That will discourage replies,
especially from newbies. He needs to learn not to multiply threads which
have no original content.

You post the same old previously introduced, repetitious, masticated
and regurgitated tripe over and over ad nauseum and that's pretty much
the same is is not?

TM pretty much does what you set out to do, dominate the newsgroup
with a off-topic posts. He just appears to be better at it than you.

Sounds like you just painted a self-portrait, the only difference
being that you promise to go away, say your goodbyes over and over,
depart promising never to return but don't keep your promise. In the
final analysis, the end result is the same. You never go away
either. You two deserve one another. Enjoy!

I am baffled that you take umbrage with someone else doing what you
yourself have done so very often. You even once commented ... "I have
never had an original idea in my entire life and I never will."

That will discourage replies,

I guess it is unclear to me what you mean by "multiply threads". If
you mean multiple threads on a single topic, how different is that
from what you're done. A search of a newsgroup for a given topic
brings up multiple threads originated by you that address a single
topic year after year. This is somehow distinctly different?

Never done it! In fact, I am mainly a responder, not an originator of new
threads. It is really pitiful how you are unable to think clearly about
anything at all. That is what happens when you allow your emotions to take
over your intellect.

It is indeed different if it is in response to what someone else has said. I
have never originated threads out of a clear blue sky. Only a fucked-up poor
crazy bastard like TM does that sort of thing.

Since you can't see any diffence between us, I suggest you engage him. I
will die laughing at your flaying about with the village idiot.

In most states, the penalty for a camera ticket is purely monetary. No
points on your license.

So you as the registered owner is responsible for seeing that the fine gets
paid but nothing says you can't be made whole by the actual driver.

As the registered owner, you have complete control over who borrows your car
and under what terms (except in the case of theft, but then you'd have a
police report and an actual defense.)

If you cannot trust them to obey traffic laws or at least own up when
caught, it's irresponsible for you to be handing them control of a vehicle
in the first place. But if you must, you have other options:

- Before you hand over the keys, require them to sign a written agreement
(with checkout and checkin times) that they will reimburse you for all
camera and parking tickets issued against the vehicle within that time
period.

- For extra safety, don't hand over the keys unless they maintain a security
deposit with you for the purpose of paying such fines.

It's your car - nobody can force you to let someone else drive it. If you
don't want to get dinged for their speeding violations, you have options to
protect yourself.

In practice, of course, the most cases are like yours - the other driver is
a spouse or other household member - and unless you segregate your finances,
it's moot who pays the fine - either way, it comes out of the family budget.

Since you'd be admitting guilt of driving at least one car without valid
plates, I doubt they're worried about anyone attempting such a defense.

Yea, I hate the idea of getting stuck with a ticket when no
complaining witness/officer is present. Camera's don't take excuses
and may be subject to error. You could get an attorney and spend a
bundle to no purpose. There is a newer, I believe federal, law that
says every road needs to be surveyed to be sure speed limits are not
being held too low. If they did not do the survey on that road, the
tickets can be voided. Research that aspect.

Above not withstanding, your views on how the law should operate are
extremely arrogant. What allows you to go through red lights at night
based on your observation other than the fact you believe you can get
away with it? I'm required to stop whether traffic is present or not.
And assuming your wife was driving 66 in a 50 zone is very
irresponsible of her too. OH, she was late for work. That's the number
one excuse on the street. What if she ran into a car full of people
and killed someone? I guess she has the same attitude about laws as
you do. I would further add that she might have been on the cell phone
at the time as well or applying make-up. Why not use this little
setback as a heads-up to becoming responsible parents?

But they do get to live with me. Well, the civilized ones do.
However, I'm not allergic to bees or wasps. Those native red, brown, and
black semi-social "paper" wasps are at least as tame as honeybees. Or as
my cats. At present, I have two nests on the front porch and am not
going outside to see how many are nesting in the shelters that I provide
near the veggie garden. I'd rather have the wasps than, say, my
neighbors, my neighbor's dogs (_especially_ the dogs) or Jehovah's
Witnesses. AFAIK, neither of those eats insects; well, maybe they eat
houseflies but that doesn't count. OTOH, those imported yellow and black
"European" paper wasps, AWA the various ground-nesting "yellowjackets"
are a different story: They are devilspawn.

You see, that is my point. I haven't used the insurance, but my
doctor requires me to have it!
Meanwhile, my income is low. Some months even the dollar menu is a
luxury. Now with these
new laws, I could be out of work, broke, forced to get rid of the
insurance, lose my doctor,
and then be fined by the federal government because I don't have it.
That law is not meant
for helping me!

Mine.......
Over nite on the 28th Saturday it dropped 12 minutes behind for some unknown
reason.
Perhaps its the battery. But it is still running albeit 12 minutes on the
late side and holding.
I collect cheap watches and some fakes ect.
Most are now dead in the drawer.
They havnt seen the lite of day for a few years at best
So I,m going thru this drawer looking for life maybe in one of them to wear
as a back up until
I get the Atomic one repaired or replace the battery
They were all dead except for one............
The fake Rolex (day date) I bought about 7 years ago on the street for
$12.00 but havnt worn for a good year and a half.
I think I replaced the battery on it about 2 plus years ago.
The damn thing is only about 30 seconds off on the slow side and get
this..........
Still shows the correct weekday and date.
So now I dont have to spend $19.95 on a back up at WalMart/Kmart ect.
