Digest for misc.consumers.frugal-living@googlegroups.com - 5 updates in 1 topic

KenK <invalid@invalid.com>: Oct 14 01:44PM

My CenturyLink bill including DSL went up another $20 to $106 - DSL now
$80. Called CL for possible reduction but people incompetent. I'll have to
go back to dial-up. Don't watch TV so no cable.

Can anyone think of any options? Later will Google for local non-cable
broadband but don't have much hope.

TIA

Is CenturyLink the only provider of high speed internet
available in your area?

You don't have buy television service to get cable internet. Just call them
and ask what it would run for just the broadband internet. We get 60 Mbps
for about $50 a month here--WAY better than DSL.
