For garage sales too? Theory has it that they're supposed to charge (and
remit) sales tax (8.5% here), but only the professional sellers actually do it.

Not bad, winter here, significant rain, which is good given the drought we have been having.

That wont happen. Our economy is primarily driven by exports to japan, china
and india and none of that will be affected by the sub prime fiasco in the US.
Some of our states have got unemployment rates down in the 1.x% levels now.
