Terrorism is what people do when they do not have a clue about what is wrong
with them. You bet I'm OK with killing those who would kill us.

By the way, no one needed an army in Ruanda to kill hundreds of thousands.
They did it with clubs and knives.

The poor of the world are poor not because of anything the West ever did to
them, but because they have either a fucked up religion which keeps them
poor (Muslims) or their general culture is fucked up (Africa south of the
Sahara). Sometimes it does seem racial, or do you have a better explanation
for why Haiti is such a basket case.

People who breed like rabbits will live like pigs and die like flies. Good
riddance! Damned if I ever want to do anything for them. But if you want to,
go right ahead, but do it on your own dime. What I can't stand are liberal

We should never have paid a single cent to the Arabs for the oil. We
developed a need for it and should have made it ours. That is the whole
point of being an imperial power. The entire Middle East was backward even
under the Ottoman Turks. Why we deal with tribal peoples as though they were

Why do you say that UV is not needed for glass lenses?
I have beginning cataracts and UV light is one of the supposed causes.
For the life of me looking at the various frames I cannot tell the
difference on visual inspection which are better than others, they all
look the same with minor variations. I suppose if theya are all made in
China we could be talking about bad metal or similar? I bought some
plastic ones with the springs in the temple pieces, but I really don't
know if this is a big advantage or not. My sweat eats through the metal
eventually (alien blood? haha), so I chose plastic this time. The
quality of all the frames I have ever had has not been that great, they
all break down over time. I asked them for safety glasses but the frames
they showed me were just as weak looking as the others. Finally gave up
in frustration.

Because the glass absorbs the UV.

Yes, but you dont get much UV with reading glasses, unless you read outside in the sun.

Nope, just poor design.

More personal preference than anything else. I like them myself.

It wont with the better metals.

It tends to get brittle with time. Whether that matters
depends on how often you change the glasses.

I went for about 30 years with just two pairs of metal framed
glasses which I kept changing just the lenses in, essentially
because they were so comfortable and convenient to use.

Well designed metal frames dont, and are much easier to change the lenses with too.

Safety glasses dont have strong frames, just
make it harder for anything to get to the eyes.

outdoors. We made a little space outside with another door.
It's a great space to leave shoes and boots. and firewood. Etc.
It sure buffers the cold winds.
