Truckers hardly ever park on the shoulder, and exit on the driver's side
to walk up to a car parked ahead of them, which is, of course, routine
behavior for a police traffic stop.

I have been shopping around for air fares between LA and the NY area.
I want to take a red eye which adds a day to my stay. Finally found a
trip on travelocity via Jet Blue. I was set to purchase when I saw they
would not assign me a seat so I went to jetblue.com and got the same
flights with aisle seats both way for $40 less.

By the way, if your destination is midtown Manhattan Newark is better
choice (Jet Blue does not go there). It is closer than JFK and trains to
Penn Station stop at the airport. Traveling solo a cab from Newark will
not be frugal because you have to pay for a round trip . By the way,
Newark has a great cab system. You tell a dispatcher the town you are
going to and get a two part form listing the fare, one for you and one
for driver which clearly states that tolls are added to the fare.

All you need is to convince people that something is scarce. Then you
need to create a fake market for it. A ponzi scheme of self-
replicating endurance follows. I am not sure how plastics could be
spun as a scarce resource when we see it litter the highways, but that
would not stop someone who wanted to dupe people used to bubble run-
ups in prices of anything from Beanie Babies to photos of newborn
babies.

Tell me about it. It is not so much that we might be in end times
that bothers me. I just hate to think that some war mongers decide
that sex, drugs and rock and roll are immoral.

They dropped I-Bond rates to a core 0% interest. Peculiar that a means
of investment via the US dollar is being shunned as too plentiful and
not worthy of saving and loaning for gain. The inflation bond is not
meant to make one rich, but when you get 0% core rate and 4% annual
inflation rates, I think people would be wise to co-op the greenbacks
to each other instead of loaning to the government. RodSpeed, have you
ever thought of starting a bank? I do not know how Australia regulates
the loan industry, but a job that does not get your nails dirty sounds
like a dream.

Salmon fishing has been banned on west coast of US due to lack of
salmon schools. Looks like plankton and ketchup tonight for dinner.

Albert Hoffman died the other day. I have read some accounts that say
he has united many people because of his career.
