Bacteria don't have to be involved. Why do canned goods go bad in
months or years (depending on what food it is)? Why does unopened
cooking oil go bad in months? Why does expensive olive oil have a
longer shelf life?

They deteriorate chemically. When you make dressing, you add water,
acid, and air to olive oil. They speed the deterioration.

er, uh, um, skippy?? you already wrote that. i think you're missing a verb.
but, whatever. your attempts at insults are so pedestrian that i'm amused
rather than offended. try some of these:

http://b3ta.com/questions/insults/

they speak english, so if you need help with translations, you have my
addie.

to save on postage, when you order your dictionary and grammar book, get a
thesaurus (you may need to look that word up), and the autobiography of ben
franklin (now he was a man that could drop an insult) or something on the
rich history of the algonquin club; dorthy parker et al.

but, you've been poked with a fork and you're done.

Not really. Especially if all you're gonna do is come back to tell us all
about your spam group.

However, Sunday newspapers are usually full of free offers like that
(checks, balances, etc) and they give their website addresses on their
advertising. That's a good place to look.

I have one, and instead of using plastic bags, I use the plastic containers
(clear boxes). You put the stuff in the box, put the cover on, hook a
plastic hose from the vacuum to the box, pump out the air, turn a knob on
the box's lid, to seal, and that's it. Dunno how well it works -- I had
some stuff frozen in it, but the power company turned my electricity off,
and I had to toss out everything in the frige. Gotta try again, I guess.

Or switch to Canon. Canon has had a substantial lead on digital
technology that the others have been playing catch up with for years.
And the ergonomics of Canon are pretty good. I'm *really* hard on
cameras and my Canon A95 is still ticking (so's my Rebel and elph). It's
had a *lot* of exposures clicked through it.

I think a lot of that is in the card design. I don't know about SD, but
CF cards have the logic in them and not the camera. So no matter how
large a CF card will get, any camera that takes them will still see the
entire card (my old old elph that came with a 8MB CF card reads the 2GB,
no problem). Advertising tends to promote a products worst virtue in
hopes of covering that up.

Compact Flash, is the largest of memory sticks.

Smart Media, was the dumbest.

and Secure Digital may very well be the least secure as it can be read
by so many different devices.
