Having been in the business I can assure you that the card will
always allow you to make a one minute call for 50 cents within the U.S.
They also have a 90 cent surcharge on calls from pay phones although
their actual cost for that expense is 49 cents and unspecified
surcharges "may occur" (have you ever seen a products that says an
unspecified charge "may occur" where that charge does not occur?) even
though a call from a cell incurs no additional expense to the company.

Be forewarned, they didn't get the name "fee"-bank for nothing.
While it is possible that if you follow the letter of the promotion
you may get a 1gb nano ( the old model ~ $110 retail ) if you follow
the following rules. ( see complete listing below ).
* Open the account before Aug 24th
* Two -AUTOMATED- deposits/payments of at least $100 before Oct 26th
( not including bill pay or debit card use )
* You will be taxed on the value of the iPod ( probably around $150,
so another ~$30 in taxes to the IRS )
* If you close the account within 6 months they charge you $25
If you do all that you will get an iPod sometime in December

iPod nano? Isn't that the one nobody wants? The one with no user
controls or display that just plays song selections randomly? Is that
even available in the retail market any longer? Such a deal!

to sign up with them, and the device appeals, why not take advantage of it ?

I think it may be a bad agent then. My local SF agents have been
nothing but helpful and I usually leave with far too much paperwork
then I could ever read through and they have always been honest. I
think they may push products on occasion, but they would never lie to
sell the product. I originally started with SF insurance over a
decade ago because they were the only ones that would give me a
reasonable rate on an electronics rider for an apartment policy ( I
was a geek with several computers ).

If you can withdraw it at any time, it's not a cd, it is a demand
account. He is either mistaken or lying. I would check elsewhere.
Money magazine just listed e-trade bank as having really good rates
for savings and checking accounts.
I use Emigrant Direct and get over 5% and can take out $ any time.
They also have a credit card that gives you 1.4% cash back on all
purchases if you keep $10k in their savings account.
I also have a savings account at H&R Block bank that is paying 5.25%,
but that is a special rate for tax clients, and I can take out cash
any time.
Also, keep in mind that cd's say that there "may" be substantial
penalty for early withdrawal. It is one of those bank charges that
financial institutions can wave if you ask.

I guess it depends on the term & remaining days and possibly amount as
mine currently range from 10-60% available with not a lot of obvious
logic to the amount.

Lying doesn't help your cause. You didn't *FIND* anything, it's your
site. bwoolard is probably Bob Woolard and the whois information
lists Robert Woolard. Be honest that you need people to signup in
order to get merchants to buy into your program.
That aside, the site does look genuine, and the privacy policy is
sane. The problem is I can't find any 3rd part confirmation that this
site actually works.
