Unless I use a road (fast) bike, I often don't wear helmets because
the hat will protect my skin and make it much cooler in the hotter
months. Hey, at night I do!
That's a calculated risk.

I guess they are talking about the bottom line: money. And what's a
breadwinner to do when injured?

They don't in Mecca (Holland).

Hit-and-run are all too common. I'd apply Modified Sharia Law to them
until it's eradicated.
Maybe we can put a tattoo on his forehead with an "R" (rat).

We have many reports already but it doesn't hurt to have one more to
prove the obvious.

I confess to being intimidated by it all. I'd rather be a couch-
potato. Better yet, I'd rather do my stationary bike.

I have slowly but surely moved away from infrastructure to equality. I
mean the bicycle TAKE THE LANE or nothing at all. No sidewalk or edge
of the road. You can not possibly share the lane with a 5 ton vehicle.
You share the road, but not the lane. You are too fragile to squeeze
into the lane with another vehicle which feels entitled to the whole
lane and harasses you and pushes you out.
You share the lane when there's a one lane road. One point we got to
make is:
ONE MORE BIKE = ONE FEWER CAR

Yep, you are far above the average. Most practical cycling occurs at

Well, my good neighbor (he's really nice but stupid) doesn't consider
that bicycles should be on the road. The bad drivers just harass you
or pass you within inches.

We admit our inferior place in the food chain by placing ourselves
next to the gutter. Critical Mass is pretty stupid too in blocking
roads. TAKE THE LANE --just one lane, and let the cars worry about
you.
THIS IS MY PROPOSAL.: CARS MUST EXIT THE LANE 100' BEFORE AND AFTER A
BICYCLE. The distance is negotiable. ;)

Hey, hey, hold those horses. The cyclist is going on the right lane
and you are a good boy going 20-25 on the slow lane, particularly
before a blind curve.
Besides, who's going 3mph, a grandmother? She deserves you to stop and
bow, OK?

The bike is not a vehicle for all terrains or all seasons. I'm talking
whenever, wherever practical. My local supermarket is full of SUVs and
I can hardly make it on my bike. If I follow the main road, I'm dead
meat. If secondary roads, I must slow down at every corner. Flat
terrain, perfect weather and I'm in the cage.
The people who ride bikes do so on sidewalks, which makes me wonder
why they don't simply walk or stay home. I'm about to inquire into
home delivery. ;)
Walking is painfully slow and sometimes is too hot for it. My bicycles
have the rack and everything and are gathering rust by the sea.

that bikes are welcomed on the road.

Hey, nothing particularly despicable about this couple. I've known far
worse people attending church and paying taxes. Actually I'd have
eaten the Forbidden Fruit myself!
Well, now I'll explain the real reason I keep pounding at A&E. They
"fathered" the three most belligerent religions to be found after the
fall of the Aztecs. Maybe Cain went around and passed his genes with
all the prostitutes he could find. Hey, I got nothing against
prostitutes, just that they must be the opposite of a "virgin" mother.
OK I take it back, let's say Satan himself gave his mother to Cain, so
they would procreate.
Wait a minute, Cain must have had an incestuous relationship, so that
explains everything.

TM is a poor crazy bastard who just posts on his one favorite subject -
hatred of motor vehicles because they interfere with his use of the roads.
His other favorite subject is attacking Christianity. If you respond to this
poor crazy bastard, then you are a poor crazy bastard too.
He likes to reference monkeys and other wild animals normally found only in
zoos because he is most likely a wild beast himself. I think he fornicates
with monkeys, but I can't prove it.
TM should confine himself to just one thread instead of proliferating them
like a poor crazy bastard. He is insane of course. I liken him to the
village idiot of olden times. The difference these days is that no one any
longer recognizes the village idiot because idiocy has become so widespread.
But I will be here to remind one and all of what a poor crazy bastard TM is.
It is mark of My Greatness that I can still recognize the village idiot even
if the rest of you can't.

As you can see we are attacking Adam & Eve just because everything
went wrong from there. Some hunter-gatherers walked past Paradise and
said, "They got it all and that's stupid!"
Once we got this clear and religion concerns itself with bicycles
instead of gays or abortion, we can make real progress.
Believe it or not, their progress is no good...
"Progress is not always good. Gone are the days of the adventure, and
now sedentary life is killing us. Bring your bow and arrow!"

The burden of proof rests with the accuser. Where's your proof of
this often cited and repetitiously regurgitated, but never
substantiated assertion?

You fit two if not three of the categories. How do you defend a group
from yourself? The conundrum continues.

Anyone who is interested can go back to the archives and read the messages
for themselves.

Ed Gin and Associates were criminal spammers, Jim McNamara was and is a
stalker and Tom Sherman was always out to lunch when anything precarious was
taking place on ARBR. Only Ed Dolan the Great acted like a normal human
being who feels some loyalty to the group of which he was a member.

All I know is there are certain POWER STRUGGLES on this group as
elsewhere. Is that good or bad?
God allows the Devil to roam free so he can look good. Or the Devil is
too smart for God. Whatever the reasons be sure to be on the right
side...
'IN THE BEGINNING THERE WERE MANY GODS AND AFTER A POWER STRUGGLE ONLY
ONE WAS LEFT'
(I must write these revelations as they come down to me. I don't
expect them to be added to the Bible, but hey, it's about time the Old
Book is updated)
Think about Cuba: Many comandantes in 1959, but only one or two were
left. That's the way it must have happened so God survived and became
the Supreme Leader.
The question is why Satan is still going around causing trouble when
God can catch him in no time. One theory is that God is really a
puppet figure, another is that the Devil never stays in one place and
avoids capture.
Power struggles are nothing new to us here on Earth, but celestial
battles and intrigues are always good reasons to worry when the winner
is still undecided.
If I were in Cuba, I'd be worried of supporting the aging Castros.
Think about it before you commit yourself to God.
