Got a nice message from PP this morning. All data access had been
disabled and I won't be bled by data usage. I have not tested to see if
data is still there, just read his message. He did something else for
me because when I followed his instructions to connect the phone number
to the new online account I set up...I DID get the SMS message on the
phone with the phone's activation code to put in the webpage to complete
the transaction.
Then, looking around inside the new account, I found I could turn off
SMS and Voicemail from the online account page, securing my phone from
those nonsense charges to the account balance.
You CAN turn it all off and just have a PHONE to make PHONE CALLS,
nothing else....at least so far.....
SMS has to be running on the phone so PP can send you the setup
activation code to connect that phone number to the webpage account
online.....then you can dump it for good.

live. I am here to tell you that it is true..
Balish starts by laying out exactly how much car ownership
is costing you, and our society as a whole. I found that
angle, as opposed to the "Save the Earth" approach, to be
oddly refreshing. Let's be honest, most people care a hell
of a lot more about their bank account than their carbon
footprint. I sold my car, so I was already rid of that
cost, but was still stunned by how much a car truly costs..

Boy, are you a clueless weasel. I WORK AT HOME, which you would know,
if you could read, since it was right in my post. I live in a tiny 200-
year-old farmhouse because it's all I can afford, and it's nearly paid
for. If I sold it tomorrow I would get enough to pay rent on a studio
apt. in town for maybe 5 years. Then what? Also, I am self-employed
and I need space for my industrial equipment which I wouldn't have in
a studio apt. Oh, and exactly HOW THE HELL are "you" subsidizing my

Then quit. Imagine if people could leave their shitty jobs that pay

I don't know about school loans. I assume a 529 plan supplemented by
pay-as-you-go.
He says to always get a 15 year fixed mortgage ("don't get a 30 year

guess I'm a loser for qualifying for a 15 year loan but getting a 20,
then paid it off in 120 months.
I usually agree with most of what he says, like his method of paying
off your debts, etc, but he sure can be obnoxious about it. (At least
he's not as irritating as Suze Orman.) The thing he does that chaps
me the most is assumes a 12% annual return on stock mutual funds. The
annualized rate of return on the S&P 500 for the past 10 years is
actually negative, and most mutual funds haven't even kept up with the
indexes.

means you can't do everything with it, but it is plenty good enough to
get started learning programming. You can find it by going to the

Hang the small stuff on a line or a rack to dry. Take the big stuff
(that you don't wash all that often anyway) to the laundromat and pay

You can dry the big stuff on a rack as well. It just takes planning. When
my kids were little, I had 2 drying racks and an outside line. We heated
with wood, so I had the added drying energy there, but in general, I rarely
if ever used my dryer.

I believe the problem with the Irish famine, was --planting just one type of
potato.
I wonder if the heirloom would be resistant. I'll google Father Tom, I have

variety. We have purple tomatoes, Russian heirloom, Kids at the Highschool
have a greenhouse.
We old people get a discount. They try different varieties, purple, being
one. I like the yellow
less acid tomato, because I eat so many, I start itching at the end of the
season.!

farm down the
road from me, sad.

sponge to hold the plant in when
you put the plant in the hole in the bottom of the bag, the sponge will hold
the plant from falling out, if you are
making upside down plants. Just put a slit in the sponge, slide plant in.
Now, this may be the reason
that helped with the blight, I filled the bag with purchased soil? These
bags dry out fast, must water frequently
Next time, I'm putting some plastic around part of the bag. You will be
amazed how many feet these plant
grow, so hang them high. For fungus, on some of the apple trees, and rose
bushes, (black spots)I use baking soda in the water hose apparatus.
I use a lot of salt, vinegar, soda, alcohol for various reasons, inside and
out. Sometimes the old ways, are the best way, I have found. I'm becoming
my grandmother and grandfather!

Generally they arent. The resistant varietys have generally been bred for that relatively recently.

Yeah, I can get them for free. My other neighbour whose
house I look after when they are motorhoming is a salvo.

I only ever knew one of my grandparents.
My dad did get into making marmalade, for the same reason,
couldnt find any of the commercial marmalade they liked as much.
They're dead now so I cant ask him what he did about the labor
intensive cutting up of the fruit. I only did 1Kg of limes on the first
batch, complete pain in the arse to cut them up with sharp knife.
I've since thought of just slicing them and putting the slices
into one of those plunger style Tupperware onion choppers.
You can get plastic things that slice oranges etc. I've got
the chopper already for onions so will try slicing by hand
and see if that works.
The other alternative is obviously a food processor, but its much
more of a gamble price wise since you need a decent one to have
any real chance of it not burning out, the limes are pretty solid.
