Yeah but Google Groups can be moderated right? So why this

Because few bother with moderated newsgroups.

learn the difference between needs and wants.:) you NEED food to
live!! But you may WANT to eat out at fancy restaurants nightly, but
you dont need to do that to live.
Its far easier to make your wants a little less than your income.
Trying to make enough to buy all your wants just becomes impossible.
the more you make the more you want, into a spiral of unlimited
spending:( maxed out credit cards etc

Wants are part of living life. Needs are boring.
> Its far easier to make your wants a little less than your income.
It's much more fun to have an income that exceeds your wants. Again,
part of living life.
> Trying to make enough to buy all your wants just becomes impossible.
Some prioritizing is always needed, sure. Some wants really aren't,
at the end of the day.

We'd be in a great depression or worse, just like we ended up in one the last time a govt tried that just after a crash.

No thanks, if all I spent on was real needs, it would be a pathetic existence.

I prefer to eat better than the bare minimum that will keep my alive and healthy.

Depends on your income. Thats a lie with the lowest incomes.

Nope, not for everyone.

That isnt true of everyone.

The is a new game in the stockmarket these days called hot stocks.
This goes against the normal Wall St. Recommendation of buy low and
sell high. The new hot stocks strategy is to buy high and sell even
higher. http://www.stockmarkettrends4u.blogspot.com

Not with the laws "made for the driver," but perfectly normal in
Holland.

Yep, clear the whole lane for him, exit the lane, leave him alone,
he's doing something heroic.

I've been looking for something like this in the $150-$250 range for
a while - tiny PC that can be wall mounted:
http://shop.revonate.com/Refurbished_Acer_Aspire_Revo_AR1600_U910_p/L-PT.SCL05.004.htm
I would pay an extra $35-$40 for one that has just enough space to
add an internal DVD burner, so that I could archive music and videos.
Then I'd pay another $40 on top of that for one that had the power of
one of those AMD energy saving dual core Athlon II's.
Probably 60% of the time on this would be spent listening to music or
watching videos, 20% web browsing, and the other 20% a mix of casual
gaming, writing and perhaps VOIP.
Can anyone clue me in on something that would at the very least allow
for the DVD burner, or is this about the best that I'm going to find?
Thanks!

You can't have it both ways. This is a mini PC. There does not look
like room for a DVD. The processor is slow. The memory is low, but
enough for XP. The power supply is only 65W. That low power supply is
because of no i/o devices. You'd have to use USB devices with their
own power supply. The value to price ratio is not there for me. Hey,
you got a new bigger house. Spread out and live a little. You could
find the equivalent PC with DVD at a garage sale for under $50 with
some luck.
