I seem to recall reading somewhere that dipping dried out magic
markers in toluene will work, but can't seem to find it in the local
hardware stores, though I thought I've seen it in the past.

Any ideas?

If I recall correctly, toluene was eliminated from
bottles of correction fluid because kids were using
it as an inhalant to get high.

How do we know that's not what you were planning
to do? I've added your name to our database of
potential drug abusers. You won't be getting
any trick-or-treaters tonight! :-)

to lose except 6 stamps and $6.00, right?" Then I invested the measly
$6.00. Well GUESS WHAT!!... Within 7 days, I started getting money in
the mail! I was shocked! I figured it would end soon, but the money
just kept coming in. In my first week, I made about $25.00. By the end
of the second week I had made a total of over $1,000.00! In the third
week I had over $10,000.00 and it's still growing. This is now my
fourth week and I have made a total of just over $42,000.00 and it's
still coming in rapidly. It's certainly worth $6.00, and 6 stamps, I
have spent more than that on the!! Let me tell you how this works and
most importantly, why it works.... Also, make sure you print a copy of

AMAZING! When your name is no longer on the list, you just take the
latest posting in the newsgroups, and send out another $6.00 to names
on the list, putting your name at number 6 again. And start posting
again. The thing to remember is: do you realize that thousands of
people all over the world are
joining the Internet and reading these articles everyday? JUST LIKE

Try one, anyway; they're cheap enough. You might be surprised.
Movies, slow monitors, broadcast television, "standard" fluorescent
lighting, etc. weird me out, too, in short order, but I'm having no
problems with long exposure to modern CFL. I've only been using them
since June so the color balance still looks "right" and none seems to
have developed any of that variety of screetches, yowls, or hums to
which so many small toxic miracles are prey.
However, they do receive nicely in two analog boom box FM receivers
and in one PC sound output using a "better" Koss headset (but that could
be from cabling/connections) but not at all in a MOTR FM receiver with
good AM rejection.
I had difficulty finding a suitable color. Finally found "daylight"
(6500°K) that works well with my eyes, after the tube has warmed fully,
but they ain't cheap. The slow start is annoyingly noticeable even at
temperatures in the mid-70s. If CRLs aren't useless in cold, at the very
least, they're unsuitable for locations where one is likely to need
light immediately.

I second this. The GE Super Radio was one of the most reliable, best
sounding, best receiving, best tuning radios I have ever owned.
