As Bin Laden was a Saudi Arabian living is Pakistan, it shows what a
waste of time, money, resources and lives the invasions of Iraq and
Afghanistan were!

"MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!" (irony to the words used by Bush)

(I quote)

According to extracts of writings by Saif al-Adel, a high-ranking al-
Qaeda member, al-Qaeda's strategy is the following:

Incite the US to invade a Muslim country, incite Muslims to hate the
US for doing so, expand US military involvement across the Muslim
world, and bankrupt the US in the process.

Strategically, this plan is brilliant because it follows the historic
blueprint of bringing down empires. It pushes the US down the path of
military over-extension and hopes the US economy will collapse because
of it. Once the US economy collapses, it'll no longer be relevant as a
superpower, paving the way for the re-emergence of the Muslim
Caliphate empire.

You dismiss the fact the Oriental monkeys can live on peanuts while we
are fat and pampered. We won't survive just like the dinosaurs didn't.

REFUSING EVOLUTION IS NOT A GOOD IDEA.

Looking at Pakistanis moving around in their bikes I realized they are
better adapted.

Do we even know how to patch a bicycle flat? We can do a lot of miles
on popcorn.

The roundabouts were sold here as a British import as a solution for
all. But wait, the comments from the UK at the video say they are not
observed as far as preference for cyclists goes. I guess it takes some
Dutch engineering to make them work that way. Now we have the three
experts here so there's some hope.

A CYCLIST CAN NOT WAIT AT LIGHTS, that's for sure.

That's the way liberals think - They can bolster the economy by
printing money and having the poor buy heavily taxed merchandise.

In their world, the snake will disappear when it tries to swallow its
tail.

Is Dell reliable and do they honor their warranties on computers and
monitors?

But that's two unrelated questions. If they are reliable, then who needs
to worry about warranty?

I've had this 1GHz Dell since December of 2003, and for much of that time,
it has been left on. It was a hand me down, so maybe it was about 2 years
old when I got it.

What's "reliable"? The hard drive was still running when I took it out to
put in a larger capacity drive. The original DVDrom (read only) drive did
fail, well never completely it just generated endless error messages. But
that was okay, I wanted a DVDRW drive anyway and did so in the spring of
2007. The video card started generated horizontal lines at some point
and while I thought it was the monitor, it was actually the card. So I
replaced it in June 2008 with a video card I'd taken out of some computer
I found on the sidewalk.

The RAM is still fine, even upgraded it, first adding 128megs via a DIMM I
found on some other computer lying on the sidewalk, and then later I
changed that to a 256meg DIMM (giving the maximum 512megs) from some other
computer left on the sidewalk.

I'd say it's been pretty reliable. I have opened it up a few times to
vacuum it out. I know nothing about warranty, since I would never pursue
that unless it was actually new to me.

Michael
