I thought this sounded familiar - yes, I posted this same rant a year
ago - paying a certain bill by phone would incur a $15 fee. Huh?

I wonder why some companies are discouraging pay-by-phone ? (rhet).

Their website for paying wasn't too user friendly either, but at least
it's free.

Hi all,

I have seen all the junk posts on your site, and I can only hope you
won't pass by this diamond in the rough.

This is a real, and legitimate offer that ends May 15th 2008. I hope
many of you will try it and post your acknowledgement that it does
infact work. You will be helping yourselves with $25 and you'll be
helping me with a $10 refferal too.

Tired of links to nowhere? Me too, so I started checking out deals and
posting them in an ongoing article.
At the address below you can see the latest good stuff I have been
able to find and post. Over time it will grow so check it out, and
check back often. :)

HERE IS THE ADDRESS:

http://www.xomba.com/free_money_promotions_giveaways_survey_companies_that_actually_pay

Right now I have a particularly good find that pays $25 for signing
up, it is a new money transfer company trying to buy up some market
share to compete with Paypal. It is free to join and has some nicer
features than paypal, including a promotional sign up bonus of $25. I
have signed up and after a few days my $25 was transferred into my
account as requested. It is easy and when you refer a friend you get
an additional $10, up to $500 total. This company is a federally
insured bank, so it is as secure and real as it can be.

Please take a look, you'll be glad you did, and think of me when you
are spending your free $25! :)

Thanks,

CJ

Here in MN, we can foreclose on HOA managed units that are behind
in paying dues. We typically to use liens because the typical unit
is mortgaged to the hilt. We do lose a lot, however, by going to
a lien because state law says that we cannot enforce a lien for
dues that are due during the redemption period.

And only a fool would be stupid enough to buy a HOA managed unit in that state.

You get into stupid situations like that, you get to wear the downsides.

There havent been any runaway prices of anything, not even crude oil.

Ah, well. Like everything else, there's no shortage of rice; there's only a
shortage of CHEAP rice.

The low carb craze has increased grain demands by increasing demand for
livestock. Ethanol demand came in time to rescue grain farmers from the
decline of the low carb craze.

I did it to check their accuracy. After getting the report I decided
not to use them for my intended purpose of doing a check on prospective
employees.

Perhaps so. But background checks, credit checks, and drivers license
records are commonly used for screening job applicant's, renters,
or to profile you for insurance companies. Incorrect information can
cost you a job, raise insurance rates, etc.
So it is a good idea to know if _others_ know who you are.

Which is why the credit reporting agencies are required to give you
free copies of your report. Unfortunately the companies doing background
checks are not subject to that.
I will try to find the link but one site has you enter a name with a
city and then tells you how many reports it found. It then offers to
sell them to you either individually are as part of a short term
unlimited deal. According to their search there were multiple reports on
"Cxtypju Hdseawety" in San Francisco including civil and criminal
cases,job history and phone numbers.
By the way, I agree that when a customer service voice mail box is
always full the company does that intentionally.

I'm buying 5# bags of brown rice for just over $2 at a local chain.
Next time I go I plan to stock up more as this is a good price.

True, but some people just want 6 or 7 channels.

OK, so I'm not sure what a spot beam has to do with TV delivered over
the internet, since the internet doesn't limit what sites you can
browse to. So I can check out the local broadcasts from my hometown
clear across the country from their web site.

What I think is going on is this: 1)Almost every TV broadcaster has
a web site where you can watch the current live broadcast stream and
watch missed shows via video on demand. 2) Someone has an internet
directory of these feeds (TV Guide?). Where do set top boxes for cable
and DBS get their programing guides from? 3)Someone wrote a piece
of software that agragates all this (bookmarks for feeds and program
guide). 4)Based on the screen shots that I see, the software is
being resold under diferent names. 5)There must be a revenue stream
other than selling the software, perhapst the software has been hacked
to, or had hooks to allow, advertising to be inserted. THere has to
be a "Money for Nothing" angle in there somewhere (besides the obvious
fraud and deciet).

So I actually found a few discussion forums on the web (DSL Reports.com
for one) where IPTV is discussed. From what I have been able to
figure out; 1)There is a free version of the software called
TVUnetworks.com. 2)Many people use an off the shelf media player and
build their own channal guide using available lists on the internet.
3)Dishnetpc.com seems to be the most popular for pay site. There are
cracked versions of their software floating around for download.
Could be usefull for evaluating the whole concept.

There are also Hulu, Joost, and TV-Yahoo.

In order to get those locals they would have to have receivers in
each city and be able to upload each to their servers.

The networks do this for some shows. Some stations stream their local
news but not network or syndicated shows.

2) Someone has an internet

The lat time I saw TV Guide their listings were pretty generic,

I forgot the name of the company but I think News Corp. owns it

None of them will offer what the poster promised.
By, the way, follow the suggestion of obtaining contact details. A
legitimate firm will provide a physical address and phone number, not a
PO Box and voice mail.

TOPIC: Building Kitchen Cabinets - 5 Woodworking Tools You Will Need (kitchen

kitchen cabinets,

http://the-kitchen-cabinets.blogspot.com,
Building kitchen cabinets can be a very rewarding experience. Once the
job is finished and you realize that the beautiful piece that sits in
front of you was once a stack of wood can give you quite a sense of
accomplishment. Most people do not just jump right into cabinet making
without some prior woodworking knowledge...although I have seen a few
that did. They may have played around with a saw and hammer before but
had no real experience in the area of fine woodworking. If this is the
case, here is a list of just some of the major tools you really should
have.

1. Table Saw

The most indispensable tool of tools. Do not just buy a cheapy though.
It needs to be a fairly heavy-duty model to keep up with some of the
work it needs to do. The cheaper models have small tables and are very
light-weight. They tend to tip if you are running anything with a
little length or weight through them.

2. Planer

This tool is a must if you want to get those smooth and clean edges to
your wood. A small portable planer with a 10" width and a 5" depth
will handle most jobs. These tools are great when it comes to squaring
up you wood. You need all of your pieces to be very accurate in
dimension or you will have a lot of headaches. The planer takes care
of that.

3. Shaper

You can get by without one of these but I feel it is a good choice. A
router can do pretty much everything the shaper can do but on a much
lighter scale. The shaper gives you a nice solid table and a heavy-
duty motor to power through those tougher jobs such as raised panel
cabinet doors.

4. Miter Saw

There are plenty of these out on the market. A 10" miter saw will
handle most all of your cuts. Radial arm saws are nice too but the
portable miter doesn't take up as much room and you can move it
anywhere. These tools are nice for clean and accurate cross-cuts.

5. Router

The router can do a lot of different jobs. Mainly, you will use it to
put a nice finished edge to your piece of work, but you can buy a
table for it and use it as a shaper too. There are all kinds of bits
with different cutting styles available. They will do just about any
kind of shaping project you could ask for.

Of course there are many other indispensable tools that you will need
to build you own cabinetry but these are some of the major ones. An
orbital sander and biscuit joiner would be much needed as well as a
number of clamps and other small but very helpful items. There are a
myriad of tools available for the woodworker today, but if you are
just starting out these five are the basics that will get you started
and on your way.
