The batteries would have disintergrated, leaked acid, and ate up the

Using the cold water from the bathroom sink and shower in the toilet tank.

Use the fast-print/draft print options for most print jobs (uses less
ink). And of course reusing the back of the paper.

I'm not entirely sure what that means. Are you talking about the rule of
thumb about being able to see the tires of the car in front of you? If
so, then that isn't far back enough for me. I keep at least a car length
back, more if I am hemmed in and can't turn left or right. Of course
once there is someone fully stopped behind me, I can creep up some.

Decorative items are to your interior design what jewelry is to an
outfit, and your Modern home decorating style is no exception. Using
modernistic decorative items will help show off the stylish and sleek
allure of design style, making it have the style of a sleek designer
home. Shop for good quality decor such as pillows, kinck-knacks and
artwork that compliment your Modern home to complete the look.
In order to get your wall art to look appealing you have to understand
the correct way to hang it. You wish the middle of the piece of art to
be at eye level. If you have many piece to display on one wall, work
out the design on the floor first to select the perfect placement. The
Modern home decorating style can be improved with black and white
photos which you should plan to put in sleek dark frames.
Decorative pillows can provide a soft touch to your room d'cor. If you
were under the impression that pillows were only for the bedroom,
think again, they can provide a pleasing touch to any room including
the dining room, kitchen, bathroom and living room. You can display
pillows in the bath or kitchen by using chairs, shelving and any
corner or any interesting spot. Pillows will be a perfect compliment
to the bedroom when piled in front of the headboard. Pillows on your
sofa or chair might help insert the modern decorating ambiance to the
furniture. For this style of d'cor, pillows that are simple with solid
colors will match best....

I dumped AVG with their bloated 56MB download package that was always
corrupt anyway. I switched to Avast, which is 28MB, and has worked
flawlessly. Plus, AVG does not have many of the features of Avast. AVG
is trying to drive people to their pay version by dropping value and
may be losing their fan base. I never got a virus with AVG, but if
you can't execute update, it is useless to me.

Monoprice is good. If you only need one or two, I find the cables

They're not the worlds heaviest or most durable cables, but perfectly
fine if you're not going to beat them up a lot.

Motzarella's getting to be almost as bad as Google Groups for trolls and
and general PITA idiots. A lot of people are filtering on it now, even
though it usually means taking out a few legit posters in the group.

Any free service will suffer from that, but unlike Google, the guy who
runs motzarella actually reads, responds to and acts on complaints.

It's not anywhere close to the cesspool that is AIOE.ORG; maybe you've
confused the two (although AIOE.ORG seems to have been shut down
sometime in the past couple of weeks; maybe it's their refugees you're
running into).

I've seen a lot about L.E.D. lightbulbs being the new thing in
saving energy. Tales like you could light up an entire house for the
cost of running one incandescent bulb. The bulbs last from 10,000 to
30,000 hours, etc.
Right now, Home Depot is offering an all-white L.E.D. bulb
online. So far as I can tell, you'd only get the equivalent of the
light you'd get from one 20 watt incandescent bulb. Pretty dim, to me.
Some bulbs giving the equivalent of 60 to 100 watt incandescdent
light are available, but list prices are from $80 to $100 a bulb.
Has anyone tried this lighting in their home? If so, is the
quality of light satisfactory? I've seen some articles on the
possibility of too much blue wave light from these bulbs.
Our local electric company is raising their rates next year, to
raise money so they _might_ build a nuclear power plant. I'd love to
pay less on my electric bill by using these bulbs, if they really
worked. I'm already turning off my water heater.

Sam's Club also has them in a three pack for $15

Supposed to be equivalent to 45 watt incandescent bulb

If I can't forecast a payback of under three years or so, I'm not
interested. Many of the CFL's promised phenomenal longevity and
crapped out in short order. Now they seem very good. I never have one
go bad. But I never paid more than $3 for one either. Some were on
sale for $1. An LED should last much longer than a CFL. I'm unwilling
to pay $70 for an LED. What if you drop or damage it? This could be a
new direction for thieves. Steal all the LEDs out of a home before
leaving. I believe the penalty cost for being innovative is too high
on LEDs right now.

Thanks for the update -- interesting result. Would you mind sharing
the names of your old and new insurers?

The old company was General Casualty out of Indiana. I had one claim
with them about 8 yrs. ago for a hit-and-run, uninsured unlicensed
driver, but we got the plate number. Damage and medical bills were
about $2000 and they paid without any hassle. They also aggressively
pursued the driver and the owner of the car in court, which was
surprising, since $2000 isn't a lot these days. The new one is
Cincinnati Ins. The agent says they have a good reputation. Hopefully,
I won't have to find out :-)

I do value the opinions of posters in this group. You have protected
me from several mistakes in the past by your posts and so I am
wondering if you have had any experience with the NNTPjunkie Usenet

Your comments are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

There's nothing at your link. Exactly like your claim about Obama not

Free and none of the Google Groups shortcomings (for one being that many
Usenetters block all GG posts because this is where a large portion of the
spam comes from).

I used to have this problem until I got myself a USB 'extension cord'. It
moved that USB port right up onto my desk with no apparent loss of speed
that I could tell. I still use it even now on my newer computer at work (a
6th grade classroom) so I can plug in my thumb drive and have it hidden from
the kids.

There is no loss of speed.

http://www.shop4tech.com/item2853.html has these for very good prices. Friends
and I shared 10 for $20 with no shipping charge. I'm absolutely amazed at how
much Best Buy etc. charge for USB cables. And don't get me started on Monster
cables...

They could also do something like was done with the EISA bus versus the
ISA bus with a second level of contacts deeper in the connector
("http://www.millbury.k12.ma.us/hs/techrepair/isaeisa1.gif"). The AV
cable would go in deeper, past the USB contacts, and make a connection
with the AV pins only, but a standard USB cable could be used to connect
to the USB contacts.

$2 is very expensive for a USB extension cable. I order cables from
monoprice.com. They have the 6 ft extension cables for $0.87 (if you buy
10), or $0.94 for 1, though shipping is $5.95 so it pays to order a
bunch of stuff if you need it.
