First of all, Perry vetoed a bill that had actually passed unanimously
through both houses because it "put too much punishment on drivers".
Second before you start wishing my state would go away could you let
me get out from under this mortgage first, and maybe recover a little
of the money we dumped in this hole?

I think they stole most of the Dutch folk's bikes and melted them down
to make into tanks etc. That why a common insult from a Dutchman to a
German is "where's my bike?"

Just save your bike and head West to Oregon while you can. ;)

If my proposal goes further, drivers will be forced to eat on the spot
the cyclists they kill. It's a measure to "let it go down" that we are
human too.

It's similar to the idea of killing a roach and eating too!

They made a great effort to control the world by using stolen bikes
and slave labor.

Now the bicycles are made in China where there's no slave labor.

Would the world be riding bikes if the Nazis had won?

Let's face it, Texas doesn't consider cyclists as humans and the next
logical step would be to bring them to the gas chambers. Hey, don't be
terrified! It would be a quick, humane death compared to the grinding
suffering of riding in hostile traffic.

But, again, you can find some trail to Oregon while you can.

Hagfishes live in fairly deep water where there is a soft muddy bottom
into which they can burrow. They have no paired fins nor scales; their
eyes are hidden under skin and they are almost blind. The surface of the
skin is particularly slimy since it is copiously supplied with mucus-
secreting glands. Hagfishes feed on some marine worms and crustaceans,
but they are best known for attacking dead and dying fish or fish trapped
in nets. Using the toothlike plates on the tongue and the single tooth in
the mouth, the hagfish bores into the prey's body and eats away all its
flesh and intestines, leaving only skin and bone.

Even the alligators look like the "good guys" compared to these slimy
fishes.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYRr_MrjebA

It seems like the mucus is a defense mechanism, so a cyclist with a
running nose may keep the predatory drivers away. When they blast the
horn at you, you sneeze at them or throw the Kleenex full of it to the
driver. Very interesting.

How about telling your wife to shut up or pay the bill herself LOL
why can't she send emails instead of yakking all the time? I have
verizon landline at 41 per month, plus unlimited long distance...each
time they try to raise me, i call right back and threaten to leave
them, and they remove the increase..the same goes for cable companies
and i just got $384 off my home insurance, which they, like all the
others always wanting to raise the fees...and i did not lose anything
in the process as far as my insurance

That's the hope, Jess. The farther away we are, the better.

Like I told you before, many cyclists argue that bike lanes are not
the solution. It sounds crazy, dumb or evil (who knows the agenda they
have or if they are elitist cyclists). The problem I have with bike
lanes is that indeed they never seem to get you where you go or simply
"disappear."

My fear though that only a trickle will up here to Normandy and even
fewer will go over the bridge (not allowed with the Deco Bikes) where
the real beauty is. I've said it, IT WOULD BE A CRIME NOT TO MAKE BIKE
LANES along the 71st ST and 96th ST causeways. The last one cost me a
big humiliation over a stupid ordinance to walk bike over the bridge,
which vigilante drivers feel obligated to enforce.

If they don't listen to the reality, and this humble advice, many more
incidents will come.

Yes, it's pretty simple. I don't understand what the problem is.
Cafeteria at work used to serve a great 'banana split cake' and the
manager gave me the recipe. It served 200 and I kept dividing it in
half until I got it down to serve 8-10 people. It took less than 5
minutes to get the proper measurements.

Try it with a roast leg of lamb.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. . .

recipes + "one serving"
("About 1,170,000 results")
<http://www.google.com/search?q=recipe+"one+serving"&hl=en&num=100&lr=&ft=i&cr=&safe=images&tbs=>

"cooking for one":
("About 246,000 results (0.22 seconds)")
<http://www.google.com/search?q="cooking+for+one"&hl=en&num=100&lr=&ft=i&cr=&safe=images&tbs=>

To my astonishment Google even produced ONE result for "one serving
angel food cake". . .

That isnt the only point of an ad.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advertising

Advertising is a form of communication intended to persuade an audience (viewers, readers or
listeners) to purchase or take some action upon products, ideas, or services. It includes the name
of a product or service and how that product or service could benefit the consumer, to persuade a
target market to purchase or to consume that particular brand. These messages are usually paid
for by sponsors and viewed via various media. Advertising can also serve to communicate an idea
to a large number of people in an attempt to convince them to take a certain action.
...
Non-commercial advertisers who spend money to advertise items other than a consumer product or
service include political parties, interest groups, religious organizations and governmental agencies.

Re the subject of UMC in Tucson. Do not eat the salad bar at their
"cafeteria". I got food poisoning 2-3 times from that salad bar. The food
looks good but I had to quit eating it after that. Rest of their cafe is
good, but overpriced for a hospital cafeteria.

Funny how the op had so much trouble contacting surgeons there. Their
doctors use the same cafeteria as the hoy poloy. But they don't seem to
really talk to anyone but themselves.

A good doctor maintains open lines of communications. But nowadays you
cannot even get most doctors to listen to you. My last one kept looking
at his computer the entire visit. The most important aspect of medicine
is the doctor/patient relationship.....ooops sorry gave away my age, now
the most important aspect is making money and self-promotion.

It's what you thought, but that doesn't matter as PSA's aren't meant to sell
anything. If it isn't selling something it's probablya PSA or a Press Release

Or we could just look in a dictionary: advertising |?adv?r?t?zi ng | noun the
activity or profession of producing advertisements for commercial products or
services

Notice the use of the word "commercial" before "services"

I would not be surprised if Texas made it legal to run over cyclists on
the roads, considering the number of politicians with anti-social
personality disorder the state elects.

I say, let Texas succeed from the Union, if they want - get them out of
Congress and Presidential elections.

Not a bad idea. Let them annex Mexico so they can attack narcos not
cyclists.

If wired Ethernet is a viable option, it is much better. If USB
connection to an always-on computer is an option, it is usually a very
good option.

I would use WiFi as a last resort if the above 2 are impractical.

Many printers now come "standard" with a WiFi option, especially if you
are spending $$ for duplexing or other office-type options. HP
OfficeJet 8500 and Brother HL-5370 are examples.
