I applied for a coupon in February of last year when they first began
publicizing them, as I was worried about waiting to apply out of fear
they would run out fast. What I did not know at the time was that the
coupon would expire within 90 days of receipt. I didn't receive the
coupon until the end of April and saw the expiration date was July
10. I kept the coupon in my wallet and eventually used it in-mid June
at Best Buy. I hooked up the box on Feb. 16, since my local Fox
channel went ahead with dropping the analog signal the following day,
which of course was the originally scheduled transition date.
Unfortunately I cannot get my Fox station and have missed their Sunday
night lineups last Sunday and will do so again this evening.

I applied early last year to be sure. It was the coupon administrators
that held the coupons until they expired and then mailed them. I gave
them to the kid to play with. I figured they might send live coupons
to my brother's Detroit address because it would look better to show
how they were assisting the poor. The coupons showed in two weeks from
that address. I used them the same day they arrived. The chincy boxes
have worked perfectly since.
My experience was not uncommon. I Googled and found others had the
same thing happen.

Interesting, but bear in mind that Germany had a very homogeneous
population. I offer this as something to study.

When the NSDAP defeated the commies in the streets and the
reactionaries in the polls, they implemented far-reaching price
controls. They learned however that this did not help anyone, as it
only caused a shortage of many goods, so they abolished the system in
the 1940s.

Lesson to be learned: they were pragmatic when it came to economics,
the only rule being to do what would make the country and the people
strong.

The NSDAP also created a department of party members in every town,
who would review all businesses. If they found that a company provided
goods or services detrimental to the people's well-being and the
health of the nation, they would ban it. Nevertheless, business owners
generally welcomed the NSDAP with open arms, as the business owners
were mostly conservatives, and therefore shared most of the same basic
values as the National Socialists - indeed, the NSDAP was largely
funded by industrialists. To have immoral businesses banned was
nothing compared to what the communists would have done to all
businesses. The NSDAP were greeted as saviors by the "capitalists," of
which many were or became NS party members.

Some welfare was implemented, but nothing like the vast vote-buying we
have seen in West European countries after the fall of Germany. The
NSDAP realized that people need help to get back on their feet
sometimes, but they would not allow professional welfare parasites.

The NSDAP started several government-sponsored projects to create
jobs. Today we might think that this looks like a sure recipe for
national debt and inflation; however, Germany was a torn and battered
country, and the projects were such that they helped the economy. The
autobahn system was invented by Hitler's crew, and it helped commerce,
which more than made up for the costs. You cannot always start large
government projects like this to improve the economy, but under
certain circumstances it works.

As for foreign trade, the NSDAP strove for "autarchy,"
self-sufficiency, in order to not be put in a position where other
countries could blackmail them financially, like the Jews did when
they "declared war" on Germany in 1933, seeking to strangle Germany by
cutting off its trade with other Western countries. Germany here
followed the same philosophy as the British Empire, the French Empire,
and other empires. For this they needed an empire of their own, which
could provide raw material, and learning from the lessons of the past
they realized that they needed colonies connected by land to their
nation. Such an empire had to be created in Eastern Europe. Oh, don't
be mad, Slavic readers - you could easily count a dozen East European
leaders in the early 20th century with the same thoughts. The world
had always been a world where independence could only come through
conquest and a large empire, everybody knew that. It was only after
1945 that this philosophy was changed, in order to destroy the Western
Empires and shame Whites, the most successful conquerers, into
suicide.

In summary, the NSDAP were pragmatic, and would not have the
government own the means of production, only regulate them. The
regulations were such that the racial and spiritual health of the
people would not be hurt by immoral goods and services. They had a
welfare program, but not for the purpose of buying votes. They changed
policies harmful to the economy when they learned their lessons
empirically, and they wouldn't let ideology stand in the way of the
changes. Like all Powers before them, they sought economic
independence from those who did not share their political goals. If
the Reich had survived until today I expect that their economic
policies would have changed many times over the years, but the
underlying goals of racial health and national independence would have
been the same.

They use HN in the Los Angeles area, at least they still did the last time I
looked at least a month ago. I was surprised to see a different brand featured
when I was in Raleigh last June.

It's always a rough choice -- pizza or Polish. I generally favor the pizza.

The sign in Sunnyvale said they are dropping goth HN and Sinai, and
urged customers to try the Kirkland brand. Despite bad experiences with
many Kirkland products I gave the polish a try and it was not good.

I like the Costco pizza when I take it home and heat it in the oven so
it isn't so soggy, but not at the store.

No, I'm talking about Hebrew National, kosher with soy protein
filler. HN was sold in SoCal and Las Vegas Costco snack bars. Don't
know about other areas.

Kosher dogs are the way to go! I prefer Hebrew National anyway and
could tell the difference between brands.

I've been happy with the Kirkland stuff I've bought. What sucks?

A thing I was really disappointed in was the Hormel ready-to-microwave bacon.
The Hormel stuff at Ralph's (as well as the Ralph's store brand) was
extraordinarily good, but the stuff Costco sells is thick cut, which makes the
results more leather-like than crisp.

Sam's Club has done the same thing on most of the items it sells.
Complaints fall on deaf ears apparently. It now has become an
assortment, of the lowest cost, highest profit, items. Quality etc has
not been a consideration. They figure there are so many people somebody
will buy it. Our visits and purchases have fallen way down. I no longer
go to browse. I don't need but so much toilet paper and not interested
in Viet Namese fish and a expensive cheap steak that has apparently been
grazed on brush in Canada, the US, and packaged in Mexico.

Soy?

The HN, I buy, I thought were 100% Beef. 1 quarted pound dog was
something like %60 of your daily saturated fat allotment. Tasted great
though.

Rod speed is a rather nasty troll...there are faq's on him all over
the net.

The volumetric efficiency issue is one only a few engineers in the
compressor business are familar with,
all engineers though in HVAC and refrigeration have charts de-rating
the capcity of thier equipment as condensing temperatures rise.
