Single payer won't address that. Look at any doctor you visit. There is the doctor, perhaps a couple helpers or a nurse, and a large group of office people filling out the paperwork for the insurance company that the insurance groups don't trust and ask for more information. All that overhead comes at a steep price. One of my doctors made it clear years ago, a visit should be 1/4 cost of what it is now. |
