Is it advantageous to have a power of a. nearby rather than far away?

It doesn't really matter, legally. It should be a person with whom you
have regular contact, and who YOU CAN TRUST!

I used "most people wish" because it would only apply to places that get
cold winters, and you don't get those. "well we have garage sales all
year around", not here, though there are the occasional indoor sale.

It's kind of a cozy time now, closing things up and the heat on,
contrasting with the cooler air outside, but January and February are not
exciting, too cold, but also not a lot happening. At least in November we
can look forward to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, even if we don't
all celebrate US Thanksgiving, and then that morphs into the build up to
Christmas, but then in January, it's kind of depressing.

They were shoveling out the Halloween stuff on Wednesday through one door,
and shoveling in the Christmas stuff through another door at the stores
here.

The thing about having winter is that it makes us appreciate summer more.
