I made the mistake of buying a single handle faucet and not get the
replacement seals at the same time.
Now I forget where I bought it.
I think I'm pushing 70. b'day tomorrow.

From my perspective, "Why do you waste your time..." was by far more
inciting than what the supposed Troll posted. It may tend to make
people who may post something on topic, not post because they do not
want to be flamed or accused of being a Troll.

Why do you waste your time responding to this TROLL? It's pieces of
shit like these that have destroyed A.R.B.R. among other groups.
TRASH such as this cannot survive on the moderated forums where most
of the DECENT people have moved.

Well, I guess only a hard workout will work. There's a sand trail
further down that I need to do and that's hardcore --but hot.

Either that or the spinning bike.

Yeah you want to entertain yourself without fixing the larger picture.

Certainly tru Ed!!!! I would disagree with that comment I see about

Have a look at 3 unmoderated Usenet newsgroups - 2 high traffic
ones that "work fairly well", and a lower volume one that is outright
98% genteel.

sci.electronics.design
(has excessive political OT stuff and a couple loons and a few
semi-loons)

alt.home.repair
(gets a little bit of sore asses and sore feet and some excess OT
stuff)

sci.engr.lighting
(Traffic is on the low side, but can you believe this genteel forum
could possibly be an unmoderated Usenet newsgroup?)

How would the sand trail work with the most cooling clothes possible?
Maybe a Greek style exomis?

IIRC, you sound like you're close to a beach. If you can't work out
with a bike, then how about some modification of jogging to have half of
your body underwater? What about swimming?

The trouble with a moderated forum is that it depends on the excellence of
the moderator. Frankly, it is lot of work to do that and almost no one will
ever want to do it. Only fully staffed websites are capable of it.

Such forums tend to be boring because almost nothing of a controversial
nature can be said without someone taking offense. As a result everyone says
only the most innocuous things. I think one of the main virtues of the
Internet is that the common man gets an opportunity to say whatever he wants
without being subject to an editor. However, this often means that the
lowest common denominator prevails. The secret is never to take an
unmoderated forum seriously. Just have fun and enjoy!

Widely blamed, though the anti-carbers like to say fructose is bad for
the same reasons that calories other than carbs are supposed to be OK.
Except when they mention a metabolism pathway for fructose and fail to
mention non-carb calories have a similar metabolic pathway (excess
calories in any form get converted to triglycerides).

I would be hawkish against excessive calories, especially "empty
calories" of all kinds, including but not only sugar and HFCS. That
includes mayonnaise, which is mostly vegetable oil. Most mayo has even
higher calorie density than sugtar has.

It makes life miserable to all and it just killed a girl from a school
nearby. The driver sits there blocking the path looking one way, and
you are deciphering if he sees you or not --often through tinted
windows-- and take the plunge...

This is the main danger I find on bicycles as well when you decide
that sidewalks is the only survival strategy. I'm not sure the red
light camera catches that, but the problem is so widespread it
deserves special attention. Here turning right on red is legal, so
that should be called into question.

Sometimes they just look at your face and you don't know if it's safe
and you play a gamble. They figure "pedestrian" means insignificant.

I definitely favor LIVE CAMERAS to catch all this action and predation
on the streets. They could be placed anywhere and would allow us to
roll back to a particular accident. PREDATORS BEWARE!

The British are really advanced in this cat and mouse game, where the
mouse is the driver and the cat is the authorities that must be one
step ahead in the game.

This is a neat solution --almost perfect-- for catching predatory
drivers:

http://www.speedcam.co.uk/gatso6.htm

Notice how they are undetectable by RADAR, can be set up to monitor
SPEED and can be complemented with FAKE cameras so the predator never
knows where the trap is. The latter is much better than placing those
empty police cars in parking lots to act as scarecrows.

I like to play a little game with the mouse, I mean the drivers. It's
sort of a guessing game...

We put as many fake yellow boxes as real ones and we keep 'em
guessing.

Look at the decoys here:

Again, if you have an issue with the speed limit, just don't ignore
the law. I do agree they set the speed low in order to trap you in
some cases, but then fight the law.

How about setting lane discipline where the right lane is the slow
lane, and we stop a greater danger: zigzagging around traffic at high
speed.

The most stupid thing though is to talk on the phone, often at lower
speeds.

BY RELYING ON CAMERAS WE CAN FREE THE POLICE FROM AMBUSHING SPEEDERS,
AND CONCENTRATE ON MULTITASKING.

From: Lenona

I have to say, I've never heard of the reason she quotes first (you'll
have to click to find out what it is) and I'd love to hear readers'
responses to her response.

Anyway, I thought the second reason, which IS listed below, was pretty
heart-breaking, too. Again, I'd love to hear readers' responses to her
last paragraph.

http://www.buffalonews.com/life/columns-advice/miss-manners/article401431.ece

There can be valid reasons for declining a wedding invitation. For
example, that you used to be married to the bride or bridegroom and
would have trouble keeping a straight face while listening to that
person reciting lifetime vows.

Or that you don't recognize any of the names on the invitation.

Or that attending a "dream" wedding in an exotic location would
require more money and time than you are able to spend on your own
dreams.

Or that it will be a show without substance—a rerun —because the
couple is already married.

Fortunately, such excuses do not have to be stated. The proper
negative response to a formal wedding invitation is simply that those
invited "regret that they are unable to accept the kind
invitation. . ."

Nor, since Miss Manners knows what you are thinking, is it strictly
necessary for those declining the invitation to send a present.A
wedding invitation is not an invoice, however much some who send them
contrive to make them appear so.

But she is disturbed at reasons Gentle Readers have given her for
feeling that they must decline invitations to weddings that they would
dearly like to attend..........

(snip)

...........Then there are those who decide not to attend when they
find a wedding is to be black tie. "I have enjoyed discussing my
friend's wedding and have been eagerly looking forward to receiving
her wedding invitation," writes another Gentle Reader. Yet she wants
to know how she can decline that invitation because "a black tie
affair can be very expensive for those who never engage in them. I
haven't worn dresses in at least 15 years. My husband wore black tie
for our daughter's wedding, and I wore very dressy separates. I
suspect my husband will only ever wear black tie again for our son's
wedding."

This breaks Miss Manners' heart. Please—cut back on the money spent on
a wedding present, but don't skip a friend's momentous event. Surely
she would rather have you there—or overlook your faking it with those
dressy separates and a dark suit for your husband. Wouldn't she?

(end)

Lenona.

That sounds interesting. Another conspiracy theory!

lawyer in it? Maybe he's promoting this campaign against cameras. ;)

(Once upon a time I contacted the Jewish Lawyer to sue a Jewish city
for kicking cyclists our of the sidewalk and not providing bike lanes,

PREVENT accidents in Germany, because there are no Jewish lawyers?)

I'm sure you haven't even considered the possibility but your opinion
may be biased by the JEWISH LAWYER... The Jewish lawyer allows you to
get a ticket and be OK with it, ie. if you got the money he'll fix it
for you and you don't have to worry about penalty points on your
license. That's how the rich get around the law and don't give a damn
about an occasional ticket.

Now, the Jewish lawyer will not make a buck out of cameras, so go
figure who's promoting this campaign about "personal freedom" and
other bullshit. I know one that has a radar mounted in his SUV and he
knows how to stay out of trouble, and he does multitasking plus. ;)

Why you think they don't fight the multitasking in this country? SUVs
--deadly vehicles-- and cell phones go hand in hand and nobody talks
about it. "Nobody" means people that count, ie. lawyers, doctors and
politicians...

Isn't multitasking even more dangerous than DUIs and red light
runners?

***

NOTE: I know all of this because I'm a hunter of the li-on (lie). No
camouflage is too perfect for my senses. Thank the Wisdom of the
Jungle. I'll go ride my Beach Cruiser now. Yes, I do multitasking but
I don't threaten anyone. If they hit me, I may call the Jewish lawyer,
but I try to stay safe. I ride a park in loops in order to be so.
Happy survival to all!

It seems easier to just dial your personal google number, 2, and the
number you want to call. Wrong?

ICE needs to attend these demonstrations and check them all for I.D.
If not here legally they should be arrested and deported but per
Obama's orders they won't do anything unless they have committed a
serious crime. What good does it do to even have immigration laws

No fraud can last long before it ruins its hostie toasties...

My brother has a friend in san diego, calif.. had two city pensions,
life guard, 35k a year, fireman 65k a year.. city notified him it was
no longer paying double dippers.
cut his payment to fireman pension, then reduced that. he still gets
over 3x the typical private sector pensions though)

Next will be massive city, county and state defaults.. those pensions
will be defaulted on entirely in some cases... why? many snivel
servants, and administrators had run their pension up to a net value
between 5 and 26 million dollars...... each.

That entire fraud on steroids is now unraveling, my guess is that a
few hundred thousand bogus speeding ticket T shirts with pension fraud
expose on the back, 2004 etc 6 years before the media picked it up...
might sped this up a bit.

why? one lying cop, fraudulent judge, fraudulent appeals board.. when
the cop was half a mile away around a corner when writing me up for
speeding inside a tunnel...
back then, I was ridiculed on this NG for wasting my time and said
then that this would backfire onto the snivel service pensions
badly... and it has.

We have just seen the very tip of this almost limitless iceburg.. this
is just starting. A little honesty and integrity in govt could have
precluded all that.

Thats with my bud, Brian Sussman.

Meantime did you know thats now illegal in calif honk your horn in
traffic unless its a dire situation... cant honk just wake a driver
stopped at a green light texting or whatever.. not even a tap on the
horn. Several hundred dollar fine plus court costs for that...
officers get extra 3 hours overtime for going to court on those.. in
Marin one tried to change the charges in court! laughable. if it
were not so devoid of decency.

you can also search google for various terms, TSA molestation,
Pension fraud, Police abuse... a few thousand vids.. some entirely
gastly, and a few that had been pressed and prosecuted.

After launching my Beach Cruiser Philosophy --slowly but surely-- my
levels of energy are noticeably better, my tan is there, but a belly --
more properly "love handles"-- have begun to appear. I thought it
would only affect those who, like Buddha, sat on their ass, but the
reality of riding slowly is starting to show.

Do I need to use my spinning bike sitting at home or is a belly normal
part of wisdom? Einstein --whose wisdom inspires me-- had a belly too
and said this about the Theory of Relativity, "I thought about it
while riding a bike." He also had a wisdom to live by, "Life is like
riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving"...

Well being farther down the line than you are, I think you have a
couple of things going on. Your appetite has not decreased, though your
daily calorie output has. You are slowly losing muscle mass, so there
is less muscle to burn those carbs up without actively doing something.
ymmv of course.

If everyone (I'm being realistic?) had a garden, a line to dry your
cloths ,a solar hot water heater and a photovoltaic panel or two.
Maybe even a carport roof that is a charger for the electric car.

The data above indicates that speed is only to blame for 7% of
accidents, which sound rather fishy.

Well, they seem to be doing a good job Down Under...

"The use of cameras to enforce speeding has proven road safety
benefits. An independent evaluation of the NSW fixed speed camera
program found that at sites where speed cameras have been installed
there has been a 70 per cent reduction in speeding resulting in a 90
per cent decline in fatalities and a 23 per cent reduction in
injuries."

http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/roadsafety/speedandspeedcameras/safetycameras/index.html

Maybe we question too the reliability and purpose of DUI prosecution
as being the greatest scam of them all. You think MADD is about
reducing deaths? No, it's all about money too!

Case No: 8254XEE
Police allegedly saw a car driving 76mph in a 45mph zone. The officer
tried to pull over the car but it took about ten blocks to pull over.
The officer then observed signs of impairment of the driver. The
client was then offered roadside test with they failed. The driver was
then arrested for DUI and the officer offered a breath test which was
refused.
The defense filed and argued motions that were denied. We moved
forward and took the case to a jury trial where our client was found
not guilty.

http://southfloridadui.com/topics/recentvictories.html

***

Clearly guilty but a good lawyer --and the proper amount of cash-- can
you get out of trouble. DUI's are bad but I bet talking on the phone
causes more deaths. This is a political issue, where the politicians
are afraid to piss off drivers who are after all voters.

This is my point folks, THE WHOLE TRAFFIC SYSTEM NEEDS AN OVERHAUL.

That sounds interesting. Another conspiracy theory!

So who's behind, Big Brother, contractors, who else? Is the Jewish
lawyer in it? Maybe he's promoting this campaign against cameras. ;)

Two large signs in Target advertising "Price Cut Large Eggs $.099 a
Dozen." I pointed out the apparent error to an associate who actually
understood that the sign was incorrect but just shrugged in amusement.
I suppose I should have loaded my cart with 10 cartons of eggs and
paid $0.99, but I didn't. However I couldn't resist trying it with one
carton. It rang up at $0.99 and after a short conversation with the
cashier I went and got the sign off the egg area. The manager, who was
standing nearby, told her 'we have to sell it to him at that price.'
They rounded it down to 9¢.

I recall once buying some soda which was posted as 4 for $3 and it
rang up as 3 for $4, and they honored the posted price without any
hassle, but in that case it was not obvious that the posted price was
wrong.

A. G. Lisi's E8 model may be showing us what both our space & time
really are.

(Click link below.)

http://www.amperefitz.com/e8.htm

Crystals and chemical compounds are tied up with group theory which
best explains (mathematically) exactly why they form the particular
way they do.

Lisi's E8 model is a group theory model that may be showing us why our
space forms the way it does via frequencies that cannot be directly
measured from inside of our particular space-time realm (Wheeler -
Feynman).
