And he stupidly assumed that the font he posted using has any
relevance what so ever to the font used when reading his post.

I'm not talking about my erotic fantasies... but the reality of the
world, aka "the jungle."

What are you doing with a jungle vehicle in the middle of the city,
just to satisfy your gorilla?

It's called "remorse" or "guilty trip," but they easily dismiss it by
denying Climate Change and arguing EVERYBODY should get one.

Around here there's one that has a TRAIN HORN so everybody knows the
gorilla is around.

No kidding...

http://www.hornblasters.com/

And he uses it for amusement around the alley and everywhere he can
bother people and get the attention of the other monkeys! Actually it
may be more than one but all gorillas look the same to me.

No. It's not about moderated or unmoderated. The vast majority of
technical groups are civil, and generally ignore fools. I subscribe to
no moderated groups, this is Usenet.

I see nothing of any value coming from you. I see no other posts. All I
see is this useless senseless duel with a Troll. He's easily ignored and
sometimes amusing, mostly just silly. Which puts him a notch more useful
than yourself.

No, he is just another person who lives too deeply in Usenet. Don't you

Someday I will go away as my environment get more bike friendly or the
revolution comes to power somewhere. Or maybe the stationary bikes
will fill the void.

Nope. My life would be to ride a bicycle forever until I die. But I
don't want to die too soon.

I almost did, but knew I could count on you for confirmation.
Readers, it is interesting to note that Dolan did not deny his hatred

Really? And that wayward opinion is somehow supposed to discourage

Denial won't change the facts. Anyone who has followed the various
newsgroups to which you post, knows that you have originated posts.
To stare otherwise is a lie and reflects poorly on your credibility
and character or lack thereof. Anyone can verify what I've said and
consequently verify that you are a liar. I see that you are playing
the fool and you're winning.

I will grant you the fact that TM SPAMA newsgroups, but his threads
are read and responded to aw well. THis to is verifiabela dn to state
otherwise is absurd. You need to come to grips with your peculiar
propensity to repudiate reality.

Feel free to stop at any time. You've been given your permission
slip.

I'm better at it than you. Consequently, you have to resort to a
gratuitous insult simply because that is the best you have to offer,
but I argue like a child? I'm amused. Do tell me more.

Can people open a rtf file with a web browser installed?

Probably, but it has nothing to do with the browser. The browser is
native to html and plain text, just like this post.

Actually, I just want a person to be writing the ticket, so that:

a) there is not a two week delay before I even find out about it
(hence the chance for a LOAD more tickets before I or my
wife change behavior)

b) if a person is there, they can verify who is driving my car,
and not just assume it is me (could be my cousin or friend,
and evidently if they won't assume responsibility for speeding,
I have to pay for them breaking the law with the cameras)

Unlikely - the road in question is actually a 4 lane limited access
"connector", or outerbelt, for the metro area. It is fairly new, and
the long term goal is probably to eventually get rid of most of the
intersections, but for the short term I think to cut down costs
(building overpasses/underpasses), they have an intersection about every
mile or so. That is probably the only reason why the speed limit is set
to 50 instead of 65.

Nope, no cell phone.

Cindy, the ticket actually had the times the photo was taken at two
different intersections, and it seemed pretty obvious they were
comparing the time each was taken, and then using the known distance
between the two points to calculate speed.

Agreed - I think that's what spooks a lot of people about this - the stealth
ticket.

With any luck, the postal service will be dead and buried in another ten
years (actually, it's already dead - the carcass just hasn't gotten the
message to fall) and some sort of online-based notification will be place.

Then you've just found they're not much of a friend.

Take the keys back. Problem solved.

Right. Government will require you have a computer and pay Comcast for
internet access. Make it a requirement for a drivers license.

Beats me. I use the USPS for all of my business shipping. It's faster,
cheaper, and easier to use than FedEx or UPS. You buy/print the postage
online, schedule carrier pickup online, and put the boxes on the porch.
And...they actually get picked up and delivered to the correct place, which
is more than I can say for FedEx and UPS.

I'm impressed. They are very creative at catching scofflaws. Good for them.

Such "problems" are easily avoided by obeying the laws, to everyones benefit.

In my wisdom I'm always learning from the jungle and the zoo all
around us... I have three species of parrots: parakeets, Quaker and
Cockatiel, and they are fliers, crawlers or a combination of the two.
Anyway a bigger cage with horizontal bars has made the parakeets go
wild. I have also set up nets on the windows to let them crawl, and
most importantly let them all fly around the house.

Moral of the story: We all need SPACE & INFRASTRUCTURE to be happy,
something the ones that keep us in the cage ignore. My mouse though is
not a flier or a crawler, but he's spinner on the wheel. I think he
means we have to ride a bike, and I just got a spinning bike... Is
this the beginning or the end of the revolution?

Try the FTC.
They will quietly investigate the problem and if they see something is
being done deliberately, the issue will be resolved without any further
input from you.

I once complained about a scam television ad campaign and the FTC took the
jerks down rather quickly. Trust me, if the FTC knows about a serious
problem with a business, they will take care of it. They do it all quietly
and quickly and with very little public knowledge that it ever happened.

Request your supplier to use FedEx instead.

Series of complaints against package delivery service UPS.

They delivered food supplements and vitamins that have been tampered with, repackaged with some chemical spilled on the original package and contents smell bad and hot to the touch.

I suspect this was done intentionally due to previous complaints about poor service of UPS.

What government agencies, if any, will investigate and respond to this situation if I complain?

Even though my monetary damages are minimal, this has caused me alot of time getting a refund and I was sickened by consuming a few of the supplments I had taken in the past with no problem. Is there any legal recourse through a consumer law attorney?

So how do you know that the tampering wasn't done by the supplier?

Or is it your contention that it is the responsibility of UPS to
open the package and check that the contents are safe before
delivering it?

To the best of my knowledge, UPS does not offer temperature-controlled
package delivery. Or are you claiming it was delivered hot to the
touch in the middle of winter?

Do you have anything to back up your suspicions, other than the
existence of previous complaints?

How do you intend to prove that UPS, and not the original shipper,
or the original manufacturer of the supplements, is at fault?

Food and Drug tampering might be FDA and FBI, but talk to
DEA also.

What kind of ""supplement"" are you talking about??

And even without pneumonia, flu still kills nearly about .05% of people

Except you are ignoring deaths by flu complications that required the
flu to occur, such as pneumonia. Using your figure from an exceptionally
low flu-alone-deaths year and what you mentioned for same year of flu plus
pneumonia, that works out to about $15K to get someone to live a little
longer.

You are not showing any exclusion of pneumonias unassociated with flu,
which according to your figures are almost as common as pneumonias that
are associated with flu.

Flu season also coordinates with (and even slightly lags) people being
indoors with each other more and traveling more to visit other people.

Oh, so I am hearing this from someone who is not only on some
anti-vaccine bandwagon, but also on the anti-carb one? (Though I do
think that Americans consume too much sugar - as well as plenty of other
things rich in calories, especially fats which have twice the calorie
density of sugar.)

You did not mention exercise, which helps the immune system along with
health in general.

As long as you have been on Usenet, you should know that technical types
who often read Usenet articles of technical sort tend to use Usenet
clients that display with a fixed-width font. Many Usenet clients default
to fixed-width font because it is common enough in Usenet to post tables
and artwork such as schematic diagrams.

The few others seeing the table of data screwed up by lack of
fixed-width font are advised above that they can fix that by using
fixed-width font - which is common advice often dispensed for reading
Usenet articles.

And he stupidly assumed that the font he posted using has any
relevance what so ever to the font used when reading his post.

TM is a poor crazy bastard who just posts on his one favorite subject -
hatred of motor vehicles because they interfere with his use of the roads.
His other favorite subject is attacking Christianity. If you respond to this
poor crazy bastard, then you are a poor crazy bastard too.

He likes to reference monkeys and other wild animals normally found only in
zoos because he is most likely a wild beast himself. I think he fornicates
with monkeys, but I can't prove it.

TM should confine himself to just one thread instead of proliferating them
like a poor crazy bastard. He is insane of course. I liken him to the
village idiot of olden times. The difference these days is that no one any
longer recognizes the village idiot because idiocy has become so widespread.

But I will be here to remind one and all of what a poor crazy bastard TM is.
It is mark of My Greatness that I can still recognize the village idiot even
if the rest of you can't.

If you're a bicycle rider exclusively, I don't get why you seem to be
more concerned about the dangers of SUVs and trucks as opposed to those
of regular cars. A Civic will smite a bicyclist just as well as an
Explorer will.

Actually, no.

In the current generation of automobiles, Honda has designed them to be
less damaging to non-motorists in the event of a collision. In
addition, the front end of the Civic will hit the cyclist in the legs,
while the front end of the much higher Exploder (sic) will strike the
abdomen.

Actually, Hondas are made with *pedestrian* impact in mind. If a car
hits a bicycle from behind, the rider will most likely be knocked down
onto the pavement, at that point either the Civic or SUV will likely run
over the downed cyclist.

My experience is that among 4-wheeler drivers, Honda Civic drivers tend
to be more careful, to minimize damage that is disproportionately their
way.
I find professional truck drivers to generally be further more careful.

Drivers of "family cars" that have "better crash resistance" is where
I have been finding *More Offensive*. Those vehicle owners "in general"
pay extra in vehicle acquisition cost and not in insurance cost to make
make their problems ones ones of those driving more-economical
less-damaging vehicles.

And along-that-line, that SUV drivers achieve lower insurance rates,
heavily on basis of lower rate of being a damagee than a damager in
crashes when "collision" or "comprehensive" insurance is the case. (As in
"The Norm" when a vehicle is financed or leased or worth roughly $7K or
more.)

Obviously you have not spent much time there, since you appear to be
unaware that I am one of the bunch there discussing technical matters
rather than being overwhelmed by them. And most would agree that the
S.E.L. bunch is not a bunch of jerks, but an unusually civilized and

I don't believe you because I have never seen it. All unmoderated newsgroups
are full of jerks which come to dominate eventually. The bad apples always
spoil the barrel.

I am only doing one thing at present and that is combating this god awful
idiot TM. What are you and your ilk doing to get rid of him? That god damn
bastard is destroying several small cycling newsgroups with his multiple
posting of threads on just a couple of subjects. He is nothing but a
spammer.

There are exceptions, such as one that you have indicated low-at-most
experience with.

Can you imagine folks that say in most-polite way and sweetest voice
"excuse me" as if their fault if you bumped into them, even if you
rear-end or T-bone or head-on crash into them?

How is the concept of someone bumping or crashing me, and I beg my
pardon for being in their way even usually when their way and not mine is
at fault?

Oh, what a concept?

I have low will to do so, because your advocacy to do so entertains me
less than even he does with what he posts, even with consideration for
"excessive thread count".

I do like to contribute to Usenet stuff other than venom for some
single "enemy" to target with venom.
Try a Google newsgroup search using don@manx.misty.com and any choice
or lack thereof of yours. Please see how low a percentage in the mere
past year or 2 as well as the past 14-or-so years that I have enjoyed
posting into Usenet with postings having a high rate of lacking venom to
any identity or entity.

> That god damn bastard is destroying several small cycling newsgroups

However, it appears to me that even TM contributes more usefully to
Usenet in general and specifically in M.C.F.L. than E.D. does.

I see him raising a few points, repeating them to excessive extent,
and doing so with excessive "thread count".
However, I find E.D. "so far" to get disfavoring from me in comparison
to TM due to saying even less per article or even per thread other than
venom for opponent *than TM does*.

Hey, Tock,

I just had a great idea for you.

This will hep your barbershop to
really stand out. In both traditional
and modern ways.

Your very own barbershop quartet!

In keeping with the southern homosexual
theme of your shop, we will be called
Jackson Smith And The Texas ButtBoys.

After hours on Friday and Saturday, we
will transform into my all-drag-queen
rock band, Jackie And The ButtSlutts.

Also, you have mentioned having a
shoeshine stand there. But I have a
better idea. A blowjob stand.

The customer will sit down, and I will
give him a good ole fashioned Texas
cowboy BJ.

I love my work, so I would only charge
about five dollars.

I think these amenities would greatly
enhance the atmosphere and reputation
of your barber shop.

Please let me know if you like my ideas.
Then, I will ask my wife, Jan Smith, for
permission.

Thank you.

Many past complaints against package delivery service U.P.S.

They delivered food suppl_ements and vit-amins that have been altered
with, re-packaged with some chemical spill on the original package and
contents smelled bad and hot to the touch.

I suspect this was done intentionally due to past several complaints
about the very poor service of U.P.S.

What government agency(ies), if any, will investigate and respond to
this situation if I complain?

Even though my money damages are small, this has caused me alot
of time and grief getting a refund and I was made sick by consuming a
few of the supplments I had taken in the past with no problem. Is there
any legal recourse through a consumer attorney?

Try the FDA or the DEA.
