Actually here's one that says the opposite:

http://www.weatherwing.com/Daylight-and-Suicide.html

What it looks like is that areas of long daylight or short daylight
could be problems. Of course, not having enough money to retire after
working all your life would seem to be a cause as well.

We can teach the world that we have more fat people and more diets
than anybody else... But we can't have the cake and eat it too!

I approve the overall idea of a large chunk of the population riding
bike, but I do NOT approve of MIXED PATHS. Do they have mixed paths
all over? I don't think so.

So what is your solution? Mine is TAKE THE LANE and the let cars avoid
you and be responsible if they hit you, which is another great feature
of Dutch law.

It doesnt explain the countrys which have a high suicide rate
and plenty of daylight like Japan, Guyana and Sri Lanka.

Its much more likely to be cultural instead.

Doesnt explain the countrys that have a very high suicide rate amoungst younger people.

And quite a bit of the suicide rate amoungst the elderly is just people with
enough of a clue to kill themselves when they dont like the downsides of old
age. Its hardly surprising that plenty prefer to pull the plug on their lives instead
of having to have someone wipe your arse when you are bed ridden etc.

America is "Fast Food Nation," where happiness is doing nothing and
watching TV. Then the disease is exported to Mexico and England, but
the Dutch don't buy that.

They have all kinds of freedoms in Holland unknown to the American
Taliban. Freedom to ride a bike is one. Euthanasia another. Healthcare
for all. Prostitution too. Marijuana no problem...

We only have the name here, nice and big: DEMOCRACY, THE BEST MONEY
CAN BUY!

Cute, but...
1. I thought everything came with twist off caps
2. Looks a little clumsy to me
3. That's new to me
4. Clever
5. Looks like you have the least padding right were you need it the most
6. You're supposed to curl your fingers end and guide the knife with your
knuckles
7. To each his/her own
8. Looks like the first cut would be a problem
9. Corn holders are nothing new
10. These things have been around at least since I was a kid 50 years ago.
11. Some cars had seats like this 30 years ago
12. OK, but don't see much point
13. That would get in my way
14. Maybe if you had bad arthritis or something, otherwise they're kidding,

Talk about jumping to conclusions. Maybe most people don't use the machines
because they realize it would eliminate jobs.

I understand the roads should lead to Rome, and the bike lanes should
lead to Amsterdam, but here in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and much of the
States I gather, they lead nowhere. They are built for some mysterious
purpose (probably some CONTRACT) and they don't have any known
purpose. There are dozens around but there's no connection, north to
south, or east to west.

But they do count toward the total miles of bike lanes, though some
only appear on paper, such as this one...

http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-states/fl/miami/451620827

Many of these routes lead to most dangerous areas, which only those
with a death-wish dare to cross. But I refuse to lead suicidal
missions.
