While licensing is more expensive in many states ($225 premium in WA), insurance should be no more than an equivalent gas-engine car (mine is the same as the 2010 Lexus I replaced). Fuel is about 1/4 the cost of gasoline for a 30 MPG car (more if you charge at peak times on time-of-use plans; less if you charge at off-peak times and/or have your own solar power). Maintenance is almost nonexistent (brake fluid and coolant every 2 years). |

Thank you, this is the kind of answer I am looking for, I am in my 40's, never had a DL and live very close to a dealership. Not particularly interested and my income has dropped to near zero but maybe it can still somehow improve my quality life. Probably gotta do something about the relapse first. |
