America isn't a democracy; it is a republic. Perhaps you should learn
the distinction.

Oh, and you should also learn to distinguish between wishful thinking
and reality.

What do they mean then when they say they are "fighting for democracy"
in every war? How about our wish for democracy, say, in Iran?

See, they think they are fighting for democracy, but they may get a
democratic circus...

FYI:

(I quote)

The term republic may have many different meanings. It normally means
a state with an elected or otherwise non-monarchical head of state,
such as the Islamic Republic of Iran or Republic of Korea. Sometimes
in the US it is used similar to liberal democracy. For example, "the
United States relies on representative democracy, but its system of
government is much more complex than that. It is not a simple
representative democracy, but a constitutional republic in which
majority rule is tempered."

Bicycling around everywhere is really on practical for those who live in
certain areas. If you live outside of a metro area it's just not feasible.

Most roads are "no go" for bikes, which is obvious because they are
either nowhere to be found, or are riding on sidewalks. Under 1 mile
it becomes impractical or just plain boring.

I'll probably sell all my bikes at this point. You must part sometimes
with things you love.
Black Brilliant Luminescent numerals ensuring optimal
readability both day and night. The transfer-style numerals
characteristic of the Master Compressor line give this watch a
resolutely sporty touch. Trapze Hands. 18k gold seal adorns the case-
back; directly inspired by the 1958 Geophysic chronometer - it depicts
a globe complete with longitude and latitude markings. The alarm
strikes on a hanging gong - a magnificent sound from a gong made from
a unique alloy. Patented collar-locking crowns, operated with quick
half-turns to help prevent water damage (red arrows show open status,
white arrow shows closure).
Since 1833, when the inventive
Charles Antoine LeCoultre established this venerable watchmaker, it
has produced some of the most outstanding and innovative timepieces.
It wasn't until 1931, however, that the Jaeger-LeCoultre brand rose to
international fame. It was then that the Reverso - an ingenious
reversible watch - was unveiled to the public.
