If you want my opinion, admitting that I know little about freedompop except
that they look like crooks, you are basically fucked with your FREE services
with them.
 
There are no free services with Ting, if you want to pay them, you can
continue to use your devices. Otherwise, no pay, no play.
 
Freedompop obviously doesn't want you freeloaders anymore.
 
I'm pretty sure if you start paying them for service, you can stay.
 
It looks like people with the CDMA devices are moved to Ting, the GSM people
are moved to something called Red Pocket.
 
Although it seems they still offer the "free" service as a plan, only thing
I can think of is that it's device dependent.
 
I know that somewhere in the near future it's going to be LTE and Voice Over
LTE only. Verizon is going VoLTE only by the end of this year and I think
Sprint is shooting for the end of 2020.
