That was generally considered the best consumer-level dot matrix printer in
the late 80's, and really did a fine job. As a totally off-topic anecdote: I
remember going to purchase it at one store - Comp USA? - and then going
elsewhere because they were giving a free Panasonic bicycle with each printer!
(I don't ride low end bicycles). One guy had five bicycles strapped atop his
car.

There's utterly no need for most folks to have a dot matrix printer these
days, but for someone printing multi-part forms it would stll be valuable. It
wouldn't hurt to throw it on your local CraigsList, if you're in a big enough
area where the Computer listings get a lot of traffic.

I can appreciate your reluctance to trash it; I think we all have stuff that
we'll never use again but just intuitively seems to have some value.

I've had one for about 3 years now. My wife & I both like it a lot. Motion is
not transmitted across the mattress like with innerspring types, and it remains
very comfortable with no sign of sagging.

I don't know the current pricing. More regular and discount mattress stores are
carrying them now, so you should be able to get some good deals. Of the 3 price
levels of the Tempurpedic that were available when we bought, the middle one
suited us best.

Don't know about your interpretation of the warranty... I don't recall anything
like that.

I've had mine about five years and my back feels much better since! I
also have the feature that allows you to adjust its positions, which is
nice like now-sitting in bed with the laptop while watching TV. Mine is
a king sized, and cost just under 5K.

I have had mine for 8 years and love it. It is excellent in several ways.
It is hypo-allergenic, impervious to water, insects (like mites) or sagging.
It is as flat today as the day I got it. The adjustable feature is
wonderful, and I can tilt the back or knees to any position I find
comfortable. Mine is a queen size and I paid $2500. Considering what I
paid for other mattresses in the past and how saggy they got in a short
time, this was actually a very frugal choice.

My daughter's cats and mini-dachshund have eaten dry food (probably Kirkland)
all their lives. She fills up one of those feeders that holds a gallon or so
whenever it's enpty. The animals are healthy, but the dog has a bit of extra
weight due to shared snacks with the grandspawn.

This goes against everything I've ever heard about dog-feeding --
"No matter how much you give them they'll eat it all RIGHT NOW". The dog
nibbles just like the cats. She'd be happy as a vegetarian and loves carrots,
fruit, broccoli, peanut butter...

I've also understood that the "affection" shown by cats is just marking the
producer of the food as theirs. Since these cats are fed by some miraculous
ever-generous invisible god, any friendliness would seem to be genuine. 3 of
the cats are extremely friendly and one is kind of shy, but eventually warms up.

But cheap often doesn't mean value. Those ChiCom "fuji-novel" brand
batteries they have are real junk compared to others.

Yeah, they're generic Chinese batteries (like most of the less

Fuji isn't Chinese. And I'm still using Fuji C-cells that expired in
2005 (what can I say, they were a good deal and I overbought).

I actually haven't found Chinese batteries to be much different from
US batteries. Maybe a bit more likely to leak. But half the price.
Duracells might be worth it for survival gear, but not around the house.

Yup, and your assertion that "house prices" were a component of the
official inflation figures was wrong. Based upon your arrogance you then
proceeded to hurl insults, snipping the cites, and continuing in denial.

WTF? Did you look below? Do you need this spoon fed to you? You
yourself posted that CPI includes "Housing (rent of primary residence,
owner's equivalent rent, fuel oil, bedroom furniture)"

You knew that there was such a category. Why are you denying that housing
costs are part of CPI? Is tis some kind of quibble about their
statistical methods?

Again - are you making a semantic arguement? Is there some slight wording
difference between what you have in mind and the Housing component of CPI?
If not, WTF are you going on about?

Or they will have to buy to survive regardless of the cost.

Since some things are overpriced and others are underpriced there
can't be a simple recession or depression but rather an ongoing
up and down of costs in all markets. Each effects the other
directly and sometimes indirectly but often at *different times*.
Nothing is in synch.

But there is long term trend: Due to the hyped, manipulated bubble
markets and the general inflationary spending trend these past
twenty years, prices on food and commodities will trend upwards while
prices of real property will go down.

It will take about as long for things to sort out as it took to
create the chaos so beware indicators signaling that an end is near.

>
> You have a very different viewpoint from the folks who are predicting
> hyper and stagflation.
>

There is no predictive model. There can't be. Aside from the ordinary
financial elements of domestic and international monetary trade, as
complex as it is, there is the extraordinary. The estimated 80 trillion
in derivatives is a notable example. Impossible to analyze and sort out
and impossible to pay off, this legalized fraud is itself enough to
bring down the system.

But wait, there's more.

The extent of other fraud and 'irregularities' is massive. Many banks
and foundations and other financial institutions have been involved in
various illegal and secretive operations for years. These are platforms
for money laundering, payoffs, bribes, drug running, black bag ops,
theft, etc., all the operations that make politics and commercial
racketeering possible. These operations continue in spite of
conditions.

The institutions are dirty, filthy. Their second and third sets of books
remain hidden. The banks will probably be nationalized in an effort to
make some of the illegality 'go away'.

All of this effects the price of a loaf of bread, a gallon of gas.

At the end of the day there is only the surety that supply and demand
will eventually determine value. But until ALL inflated areas have
deflated and ALL deflated areas have inflated, there can't be price
stability and it is stability that gives the buyer confidence.

In the meantime we can determine local values through food coops and
bartering.

First, you need to find out if the laws are set up in any way to keep you
from fighting the county.

Second, post your problem to NGs: misc.law, and misc.law.moderated and see
what you get.

Third, you'd better read some books out of your local public library
and/or find a legal aid for the poor, first, and see if they can help you.

Four, remember that lawyers are mainly interested in makine money, and
secondarily interested in providing some service to you which will not be
guaranteed, but they will guarantee that you pay their bill. To some
degree, lawyers are not mainly, but completely, interested in nothing but
making money.

Five, check out www.nolopress.com, a publisher of legal guides for the
layperson where the authors are lawyers dedicated to actually helping
laypeople without gouging them. They have been sued by the ABA for
contributing to the avoidance of high lawyer fees.

Six, understand that lawyer billing practices often involve padding the
bill.

Seven, find out if there are any appeal processes or alternative dispute
resolution routes to whatever your problem is.

Moderator: Hello hotline listeners, I am linked Wei
I am: I am Mr. Guangzhou
Moderator: Mr. Guangzhou, please
I: Israel during the nation with the Western European nation
This should be my last time in the voice of Radio Free Asia, the
following information than the "Dead Sea Scrolls" found that the more
important, I have no doubt that the existence of a harbinger, allow me
to get well prepared for the rapidly after the finish. My birth to
death as early as 500 years ago was full of prophecy, I do not think I
have the ability to say here's a lie. Prophet predicted that the major
Israeli history has occurred, they have all been in me all come true,
I really Really Is that all Jews have been waiting for the Messiah,
Jesus the son of evil aliens to take my name came to the use of high
technology to deceive all the people, so that the Jewish nation cast a
unredressed injustice, which as early as before Christ Written on
"secondary scripture" in the. I have never been a Christian, I do not
believe in Jesus has always been, I am not a Muslim, I never Jiubu Xin
Mohammed. I was discriminated against Jews because they A Offended
God, God abandoned the law in the near future to become the king of
the Jews and I certainly will be in accordance with God's will you
come back to correct. I like the psychological and moral England with
a person exactly the same, but it is in the soul On the cause of this
is entirely in religious beliefs other than. Jesus, Muhammad two big
liar distorts the image of God and humanity and the contract, God is
never to use intermediaries, God is there is no body of Since the
ultra - However, with the power of a miracle. Likely in the near
future I am going to be a prophet, a great scholar and the king. I
really was, "the Hebrew Bible" and "Nostradamus Prophecy And
Prediction" and "Revelation of St John" and "secondary scripture" The
prediction , Also a prophet to predict that the future since ancient
times, no one's reputation can be compared with me. Israel's many
prophets have long predicted that the metaphorical to my life, the
people of Israel, and so I had more than 3000 years, from the I In the
end who up to now, four in this book to be able to predict, for my
safety, I can only tell you all come true in me, and I was
"Nostradamus Prophecy And Prediction" predicted that into the grave to
another person , As a result of It must be said that my life is
totally your year. Prophets of Israel is usually around things
metaphorical familiar with the way God communicated to us in the "the
Hebrew Bible" by the book to see what All Is metaphorical. "Dead Sea
Scrolls" predicted that the Messiah is a very strong power of the
Messiah, the facts have proven that Jesus is only so-called alien made
out of a God, is the so-called non-alien According to Jia Sisuo
According to the literal interpretation created a big liar, by the so-
called Virgin born and the bar is a serious departure from the hands
and feet, "the Dead Sea Scrolls", the so-called Christ's true, "the
Dead Sea Scrolls" and predicted that actually metaphor to point to me
I will explain to you to listen to; in the "Dead Sea Scrolls"
predicted that will lead to all of the Jewish king was referring to
me, "The Message of Fatima" is the so-called alien masterpiece,
"Revelation of St John" Author and we will never know his true
identity, but he must not believe Jesus was a Jewish prophet, he is
not written in Jesus before. In addition to the "Revelation of St
John", "New" is not credible It Repeat of the "Dead Sea Scrolls" a lot
of content, should be "Revelation of St John" and "Nostradamus
Prophecy And Prediction" and "Juan Paul Valdez" into the "Dead Sea
Scrolls" will be composed of books that they can Known as the saint
After. Maya from the books, I think the so-called ancient alien is
subject to the punishment of God, fled to the vicinity of the Earth,
large-scale can not breed, can not re-adapt to the environments of the
Earth's ancient humans, they must be separated for some To be back at
the time of the earth to supply requirements, the Earth is the only
supplies they needed, the extinction of species on Earth, they can not
survive; it is not so-called human-made is. Darwin once said , Found
that as long as there is a kind of biological evolution in the body
can not get the small parts, then his theory of evolution completely
bankrupt, modern science has proven that the theory of evolution is
wrong. Indeed, human beings by God Created by God has no physical
strength and the supernatural miracle, because God promised in the
universe formed a protein component, to land on Earth, to have had a
wonderful variety of biological machine, and then a miracle Have had a
variety of species like the DNA, culminating in a variety of species;
As this is miraculous, I can assure you that life on Earth in the
universe is indeed unique. Reference from the Falun Gong cult "Toru
save the world poem". "Nostradamus Prophecy And Prediction" in a
poem:"For five hundred years more one will keep count of him, Who was
the ornament of his time. Then suddenly great light will he give, He
who for this century will take them back very satisfied. "As in I do
not know completely in any predictions that I said to you in the end
who, while a few months later I found that as early as in a long time
ago and I have long predicted would be his own regeneration, and my
life as early as On the whole in mind I have set out in the definition
of the "Bible". Appearance from the point of view, I would definitely
not a personal copy, I met the teachings of Judaism, I was absolutely
out at the so-called alien unexpected. I advocate "Fate By day, into
the subject, "predicted the existence of what I did not constitute any
impact. I just did not say what, in a long time ago I spent more than
50 years, to break the "the Hebrew Bible" and all the prophets
Predicted, I lost To the memory of the past, now I really do not know
what I wrote, I finally know that I was his, which took place from me
as a miracle, a miracle and this has long been hidden in the writing
My Under the definition of the "Bible", I will explain to you listen
to, any person who is not better qualified than I to see the former in
the end I wrote what, I think, in fact did not dare open a large
number of these books, The Vatican Gang Holy See's religious leaders
have long known but Jesus was a liar and who I am. There is no doubt
that faith in God is my whole life, in accordance with the "the Hebrew
Bible" as provided for in the book of God, the Jews must paste I
legislation for the king of the Jews, I have to be in accordance with
God to the people of Israel to come back to correct; I am really
looking forward to is that the Jews have been the Messiah, I must
abide by God's strong Israel, all Mu Gosling is not a place to stay
out of Palestine, to lead you to the upcoming terrorist deal with a
major disaster.

The great
The great seventh number's revolution"
After the victory of the raving tongue, The
spirit tempered in tranquillity and repose: Throughout the conflict
the bloody victor makes orations, Roasting the tongue and the flesh
and the bones."
The divine word will be
struck from the sky,One who cannot proceed any further. The secret
closed up with the revelation,Such that they will march over and
ahead.
After great trouble for humanity, a greater one is
prepared,The Great Mover renews the ages.Rain, blood, milk, famine,
steel and plague,Is the heavens fire seen, a long spark running. " 预言的一
样,我使中国彻底更新,而且这种更新是不可逆,因此你们也必须知道事实了".The Moon in the full of night over
the high mountain, The new sage with a lone brain sees it. By his
disciples invited to be immortal, Eyes to the south. Hands in bosoms,
bodies in the fire."
The body
without soul no longer to be sacrificed,Day of death put for birthday.
The divine spirit will make the soul happy,Seeing the word in its
eternity."和"The earth and air will freeze a very great sea,When they
will come to venerate Thursday. That which will be never stuffed and
filled so much,From the four parts they will come to honor it."这两句诗,我必将
死于星期四,我必定将来不是死于"圣诞节",就是死于"复活节",还有太多让你们觉得吃
惊的我在这里处于安全原因而不会说的.

我在这里抽出某几天"听众热线"的电台录音,通过这几天的电台录音,足以证明我的身份
,前提条件是你必须要听得明白普通话.请点以下的链接:

Its very simple. If a merchant has a physical presence in your
community, it is required by local law to charge sales tax, even for web
purchases.

Unidirectional printing can be from a couple of causes. First, if you
select "best quality" or graphics, a lot of printers go into that mode
to have a single reference point for each line, rather than one at
each end, which can be improperly matched. Secondly, the fault mode
for overheating puts dot matrix printers into unidirectional mode,
which allow the printhead and printer to cool.

Yep, some situations work best with dot-matrix. Audit trails are
another example.

Although the Panasonics were common as dirt, the curve has bottomed
out on dot matrix printers. Most people have dumped them, and those
who still need them are now having to pay higher prices for used ones.
The higher end Okis in like-new condition are being sold at better
than half the price of a new one.

Okay, so why didn't you buy the leg quarters if they're the
same price and you like them better? I'm confused. Anyway,
I'm the same way I much prefer the dark meat. I hardly ever
buy chicken but when I do I go to Walmart and get a 10-lb.
bag (I think it's 10 lb.?) of leg quarters. The last time I
got them it was ~$4 change. It might be a little more now as
it's been a while.

Well, it's still less scrap for the stockpot than with a whole
chicken. And then you don't have to figure out what to do with
the damned breasts. ;-)

Good. It is important to check for bleaches of any kind or
scratchy-scrubby particles in a grease remover one intends to use on
clothing. Otherwise you can end up with a light colored spot, or a
threadbare spot instead of a greasy spot! :-)

A hell of a long time with the best brands, like 7 years or so.

Yes.

Hardly ever.

No point when they last 7 years without that.

Yeah. "Phaser" or something like that. Maybe they're discontinued,
and that's why the price was good.

9V are definitely the hardest ones to find good prices on.

There are a lot of scams out there just to get your name and address and
telephone number for targeted advertising, telemarketing, etc.

For a while, at one grocery store the checkout damsel asked me "Your
telephone number?" and I just shook my head. At others, they asked for zip
code (less intrusive), but I don't give any of that stuff out anymore,
either.

Free subscriptions (commerical trade periodicals) sometimes ask for your
fax number. I called on this, the woman said "put in 999-999-9999" and the
computer will take it and mark that as an acceptable entry.

TV converter boxes? What a Joke: I went to the website and they said my
address was invalid. So, I don't get any coupon for the digital converter
box.

Lots of scams out there.

I tried the site and can't find manufacturer's coupons. Do you need
to join to see those? For example how do I find tp coupons?

I don't know what your problem might be. I have belonged for so long not
sure of what the process might be now for new members. You can join without
any penalty even if you don't order. Try that - and then scroll down on the
list to the left of the screen to either paper products or household - or
put in the search option the brand name of the TP you want. There is a
minimum order - thats what started this thread.

That might work - or it might not. Been so long since I was new there.

Note how the author of this article emphasizes reducing but not
eliminating costs.

The author was paid by the same companies that want to sell you stuff.

These companies are scared (rightly so) that you will just quit
sending them money.

Who do you want to have your money...them or you?

True but the mechanism is more complex, we must figure in inflation/
deflation.

At the moment I cannot tell whether we're in for one, the other, or a
weird mix of the two. You said "value" which is a better indicator and
independent of the dollar.

I expect the value of homes to continue a slide for years to come.
Another 6-24 months at the current pace then a slowing which could
continue for a decade or more. That doesn't mean the dollar price will
decline, in fact (with inflation), home prices could rise dramatically.

Despite all your insults and denials you've not provided a single cite as
promised. You _have_ contradicted, and snipped, the evidence proving you
wrong.

You remind me of the Monty Python "Arguments" skit.

Is this why you need to have settled issues remain in the posts? Are you
making some kind of semantic arguement?

You yourself posted the eight categoreis, and I snipped all but the
housing costs category. The Housing Index is Series No. CUUR0000SAH.

Change from Net10 to one of the low cost prepaid plans, and you can save
even more.

See "http://prepaiduswireless.com/".

I expect that he's using Pennytel's Free Access Untimed service which
offers AUD 8¢ untimed calls via VOIP. It's a better deal than Magic Jack
if you'll be doing a lot of international calling to the AUD 8¢
countries and numbers.

I've tried ginger before and I'd prefer the sore throat.
Just go with the lemon and honey and ignore your blog.

you plan on taking out a loan and having initial funds flow from you TO the
bank? I wouldn't loan you money either!

-------------------------------------
Anyone have opinions on the tempur-pedic mattresses? I'm considering
buying one but I wonder:
Can you use it as effectively on a platform bed as on the special
boxspring they promote
How pricey do you have to go to get a really good one
I DO know that the warranty with this item is tricky- has a few loopholes
- for example, if the mattress has any liquid spilled on it at all, the
warranty is totally nullified.
