I really believe I can make a comic book out a monkey throwing shit at
society, which claims to live in democracy, but the monkey knows it's
more like hypocrisy.

Fantasy land sounds like Disney World, the world of never ending
happiness awaiting you --if you got money.

Oh you thought the knights really stuck to a code of honor? They used
the law of the jungle to grab whatever they could.

Here's a neat solution, brother, that you can propose to the other
lions of the world. Instead of you putting walls around your own
fantasy world, put walls around the jungle, let the warlords fight it
out and ultimately drop a nuclear bomb on it.

That's the premise of this fast paced movie --much better than The
Matrix, I tell you-- in a world that turns increasingly VIOLENT &
POLARIZED. But I tell ya, bro, there's another easy solution to all
those walls: CUT OFF ALL THOSE PROFITS AT THE SOURCE AND LEGALIZE THE
DRUGS. The rats do their own big fucking business just like lions, but
take advantage of the indifference of the authorities and society at
large. They say in their own way: EAT YOUR OWN SHIT!

Enjoy the trailer...

I don't know whether to call our road manners Conservative, Liberal or

only the big fish swim safely...

What's the conservative solution to that?

Thats what Israel is doing with Gaza.

Doubt they will go that far, they just use phosphorus bombs instead.

Yep, everything the name of democracy. Ultimately though, in a world
where everything's got a price and the "bad guys" make all the money
in the world with drugs, the nuclear bomb will be bought by someone...

Watch the movie if you got a chance. Yeah, the nuclear bomb is in
there too!

What else, a nuclear weapon? I make this challenge to you...

THE BANANA IS THE BEST WEAPON EVER DEVISED, CLEARLY SUPERIOR TO
NUCLEAR WEAPONS! If you don't believe me, I challenge anyone with a
nuclear weapon to step forward. ;)

I see it in cultural terms. I see a lot of very nice cars owned by
people that spent their money on the car. It's not unusual. Some when
they get in financial problems will try to save their home, some, the
car. I see relatively poor people in nice cars blocking parking lots /
streets all the time. It may be that all the self esteem is locked up in
the car that there is little left for how it affects others. The power
of the car in America can not be underestimated.

We finally figured it out: He would have used 13 bicycles to spread
the message locally, and then a van to go places farther away.

Say, he would have ridden a van to go to Rome and tell the Emperor in
his face: "I am Jesus, now what?"

I believe so too. If he was a good guy --and we have no reason to
believe otherwise-- he would have driven a van. I think the concept of
van and particularly the MINIVAN were really a great step forward
towards civilization thanks to VW and Chrysler, I guess. That was
until the SUV appeared on the scene, which we all know to be the
vehicle of the Devil.

I clearly laid out the difference:

But if you want 12 disciples/kids to fit in a minivan, then you gotta
be creative...

They would seat on each other's laps like good kids.

And he would have got nailed up just the same.

Are we discussing here Jesus or Snow White?

A gay guy told me the disciples rode on each others laps.

Yeah, but the Jews would have been spared...

And it sounds truly dramatic.

Judas would have radioed to Rome this message: "Jesus is on his way,
and he's riding a van without horses!"

Nope, they were stupid enough to refuse to pay taxes and the
romans did to them what they always do to anyone that stupid.

They should have known: "When in Rome do like the Romans"...

Why should a guy need to be gay to think of that? Before my pubescence,
I thought of people sitting on each other's laps as a way to conserve
seating space where there were more people than seats, such as at times in
vehicles before modern "nanny-state" times.

For example, to get 9 teenagers to a party in one VW Beetle. I would
think of having girls stiing on boys' laps since girls have some tendency
to weigh less than boys do after age 14 or 15 so (maybe 13 nowadays).

Did this come from one of the 3 credit score companies (Experian, etc.) or
was this some random advert from a marketing company? And receiving it in
the mail (not online) when you're in the midst of refinancing sounds fishy.
If the letter states (correctly) that "credit scores are between 350 and
850" then, obviously, a score of "00874" is completely bogus. Did you check
out the return address. Who sent this to you? From whom did you request your
credit score? If you didn't request it, then it's most likely some sort of
bogus marketing/scam.

No, it is legit--it is from Experian with a cover letter from our bank.

I plan to. I just didn't want to have to wait all weekend to find out. I
was hoping that maybe someone on here had recently been through the process
and knew what it meant.

I would lay odds that the letter you received is _specifically
designed_ to get you to call in. If they can get YOU to call
THEM, the odds of them be able to sell you some semi-useless
"credit protection" subscription goes up geometrically.

So, basically, it IS a marketing scam, though one perpetrated by
your bank (and my spider sense tells me it's probably a "too big
to fail" bank).

Did you even ask to get your score?

FYI, Experian stopped selling FICO scores to consumers some time ago. When
they do sell scores, it's something like Vantage score (ranges from 501-990)
or some other proprietary score which isn't worth the paper its written on
(the only score you care about is what your lender uses.) And FICO or not,
they're sure not in the habit of giving it away.

Like others here, I smell a scam.

Wasn't Feudalism all about protected citadels and power lords?

Place those lords in SUVs and Gated Communities and voila... you have
traveled in time!

The law of the jungle rules outside.

Gee, Max, you seem more aware of what's going on in America than
Americans. But see, Americans like them --good Christian people
otherwise-- get their news from Fox and the Christian networks, which
are, should I say it, PREDATORY BY NATURE. In other words they live a
word of fantasy, in which bad things are not necessarily bad because
they announce Armageddon... and that's written in the Bible.

So here I'm in my cage --unable to ride a bike-- because that's the
will of God and because the Christians don't give a shit about it. ;)

Of course, many of them do live in Gated Communities, so they are
spared the worst of it.

Many people doesn't know where Bangalore is, let alone that they have
Gated Communities like in America. Well, I confess I didn't know
either until a minute ago. But, of course, my common sense tells they
are found now in every UNCIVILIZED place out there...

BANGALORE — Ragini, 14, and Malini, 11, are California girls — some
might even refer to them as ABCDs.

The acronym stands for American-Born, Confused Desi (Desi is slang for
people of Indian origin). But they hardly seem confused. Ever since
they were transplanted to their father's native Bangalore, they've
found a balance between America and India.

(notice the picture of the guy riding his bike peacefully)

But I have a great idea for the world: THE WHOLE WORLD SHOULD BE LIKE
A GATED COMMUNITY WITHOUT GATES AND BE CALLED 'NIRVANA WITH A
BANANA'...

Yes, the name is debatable. ;)

Brother, you know what it's like. I've throwing shit at the Miami
Beach lions over their waste of Obama's money in landscaping for a
fancy mixed path for the beautiful people and they just closed the
thread where I posted. At the same time the main hospital is cutting
off all services to the poor.

I'm almost as mad as this guy... ;)

Funny, I'm kind of sick with the monkeys that behave "wisely" and
"hear no evil, see no evil, and speak no evil," and have decided to
pay attention to the microcosm of insects, which seem to be more
social than humanoids. I may complement Lydon's work in the field...

(Notice also that my riding a bicycle in traffic is equivalent to
swimming with sharks)

"After I'm a Celebrity..., he presented a documentary about insects
and spiders called John Lydon's Megabugs that was shown on the
Discovery Channel.[14] Radio Times described him as "more an
enthusiast than an expert". He went to present two further programmes:
John Lydon Goes Ape in which he searched for gorillas in Central
Africa, and John Lydon's Shark Attack in which he swam with sharks off
South Africa."

Well, whether I like it or not, I'm still part of the Homo Sapiens
Sapiens (aka. the human race). But those words were spoken by Kirk
Douglas in this movie that provoked in me an outburst of emotions...

The movie in question is "Paths of Glory," based on real events that
happened in WWI in France. In reality it could have happened anywhere,
even in the recent war in Iraq. The hierarchy of the military --the
old men looking for glory and power-- send young men to die, and when
they miraculously escaped from the enemy they are tried for treason
and killed by their own army. The movie is so powerful, so raw, that
was forbidden in France (the mother of modern democracy) for 10 years.

Here I quote a review:

"One of Kubrick's best, strangely, is rarely mentioned. Simply
devastating. I've read that this film was outlawed in France for over
a decade because of it's damning portrayal. Lays bare the insanity of
romantic notions of war. Jim Thompson (the famous pulp noir writer) co
wrote the screenplay. Unlike other Kubrick films steely
objectivity, there are some very human moments. The ending is perhaps
Kubricks most emotional scene filmed."

***

But I guess we could learn a few lessons from it:

a) democracy is a piece of shit unless the people participate in it
and MAKE NOISE

b) never trust the hierarchy

c) never indulge in glorifying war

I would have turned my rifle against myself or against the military
itself if I had been comrade in arms with those poor souls. At one
point, one of those condemned to death punches the priest that comes
to wish them the best. Well done, I say.

You may watch sections of the movie in YouTube...

Try getting me out of the cage, preferably by bike. It could actually
be a motorcycle too. I really miss them, but I've seen too many
accidents with reckless drivers.

The moral of the story is: NEVER PUT THE MONKEY IN THE CAGE!
