It is said AMERICA'S #1, but it's not actually true... IT IS #3!

(Now I'm redeemed and can take a nap in my hammock)

The Top Ten Most Dangerous Countries to Drive in
The list starts at number 10 with the least dangerous of the finalists
and working down to the ones you, as a driver, really want to avoid at
all costs. So before you start, where in the list do you think the
United Kingdom comes in?

1. Belgium - 100 deaths per year for every million inhabitants.168
deaths per year for every million vehicles
2. Czech Republic - 118 deaths per year for every million
inhabitants. 235 deaths per year for every million vehicles
3. United States of America - 136 deaths per year for every million
inhabitants. 163 deaths per year for every million vehicles
4. Greece - 121 deaths per year for every million inhabitants. 226
deaths per year for every million vehicles
5. Korea - 127 deaths per year for every million inhabitants. 317
deaths per year for every million vehicles
6. Hungary - 123 deaths per year for every million inhabitants. 347
deaths per year for every million vehicles
7. Turkey - 68 deaths per year for every million inhabitants - 594
deaths per year for every million vehicles
8. Poland - 147 deaths per year for every million inhabitants. 310
deaths per year for every million vehicles
9. Slovakia - 122 deaths per year for every million inhabitants.
426 deaths per year for every million vehicles
10. Russia - 235 deaths per year for every million inhabitants. 939
deaths per year for every million vehicles

United Kingdom
So despite what you might think about the UK's roads and RTAs, Britain
doesn't make it into the top ten and in fact is consistently proven to
be one of the safest countries in the world to drive in – alongside
Sweden and The Netherlands.

Yes, it is a problem but more in an URBAN ENVIRONMENT, in combination
with MULTITASKING & ZIGZAGGING around cars, a result of the lack of a
fast lane.

We really need to implement this fast lane in an environment where's
safer --not unlike the Autobahn-- while we crack down on speeding and
multitasking in city streets. We could probably pay the deficit with
that. ;)

It would also make sense --a compromise here-- that the right lane's
speed is reduced to 25mph (to make room for bicycles, scooters and
alternative vehicles) while the outer lanes' speed is increased to
35mph. I hope everybody is happy now.

[My Philosophy not always finds friendly place to ride. But hey, it's
not my fault!]

Hey, let me tell about my adventures last night and how I got to see
the last part of the show:

(there are good news and bad news, first the bad news)

We loaded the bicycles on the car... and the car wouldn't start.
Staying in the cage is NOT an option. PLAN B: ride the bikes on the
dangerous grinding sidewalks to South Beach. It is said there's only
one thing more dangerous than riding on sidewalks: riding on sidewalks
AGAINST traffic, but it was the only solution from 65 ST to 23 ST. It
was grinding and dangerous and we found ourselves STUCK WITH
PEDESTRIANS and RIDING HEAD-ON against traffic at times. NO MORE!!! I
shouted at some passerbys, "Sorry, no place to ride on the road!" but
a lady thought I was drunk instead of frustrated --a comment my
girlfriend in the back was able to hear. Next time I just bump them.

Well, we enjoyed the Tragic Symphony without a tragedy. We relaxed and
were happy to be alive, and the outdoor performance is something we
have to commend the city for. The palm trees moving in the wind lends
a dramatic effect to the symphonic effect --or so it seems to me.

Now everything went uphill --not downhill-- from there. We went to a
restaurant and pigged out --something only a good bicycle ride could
help. True to the Wisdom of the Jungle, we kept looking for a hidden
path --something not exactly made for it-- and we found it...

(TO BE CONTINUED)

Very interesting subject. We have many reasons to go nudist,
particularly for the Christians...

(This argument goes back & forth... I QUOTE)

BACK:

"No were in the bible, did Jesus practice or promote the nude life
style during His earthly ministry.
If God created us naked in the beginning, and there no sin in
nudity, why did He not live His life naked during His 33 year life span
on earth ? What is my theory ? I believe the reason is to
prevent men and woman from stumbling into sin. Sexual temptation has
caused a many of great men of God to sin against God. If Jesus
carried out his ministry in the nude, He would have been a stumbling
block to every one who practices sexual sin. Then if Jesus continued
to live a life style, knowing He was causing people to be tempted to
sin, He would be committing sin Himself."

FORTH:

"But at the time that Jesus supposedly walked on the earth, nudity was
not sexual. Nudity was accepted in the Roman baths all over the Roman
world. It is only in modern society that nudity has become connected
to sex."

http://www.truenudists.com/forum/viewthread.php?id=12581

***

And who knows what happened in those Roman baths? Were they mixed?
That's very tempting... ;)

On the other hand, it's perfectly safe for Christians to go to a
nudist beach. I think so. I'm also for women going topless as a
general liberation practice. I mean outside the beach, like riding a
bike.

Then what happened with Jesus? Would he go nude or not?

So who's Jesus, the greatest lie ever told? How many more lies out
there also? Do you this people is wacko too?

http://www.worldnakedbikeride.org/

***

They look kind of funny, but don't drivers consider us --all
cyclists-- wacko too? Should we be normal like them? Is there
something wrong with riding a bike to the nudist beach, rinsing off
the sea water and avoid damaging the bike? What is more important,
your assumed morality or your beautiful bike?

I will ponder about it while lying under a mango tree. I'm just the
philosopher here, not the judge. You disappoint me though by being a
non Christian critic. Shame on you!

It rhymes and it shows the split personality of Jesus.

He was a man of all seasons but was a product of the desert. I sure
don't expect him to wear a big heavy leather garment, and no underwear
either.

Anyone here thought about participating in the coupons in their local area?

My area is Toronto but since I live 1 hour from where most of the coupons
are for I gave up. Most were for Spa's and financial/entertainment district
restaurants.

(I'm inspired to write this as my girlfriend waits for the bus and a
homeless crazy guy is sitting at the bench talking to himself, and I'm
trying to keep her safe if an emergency arises)

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Larry Bogan knows precisely how much it costs
for a bus ticket from Atlantic City back home to Pompano Beach, Fla.:
$126. Unfortunately, that's $126 more than he has at present.

And so instead of cooking in a restaurant or driving a tractor trailer
for someone like he used to do, Bogan eats at a soup kitchen and
sleeps on park benches or in a train or bus station each night. He's
one of about 500 homeless people living in the nation's second-largest
gambling market.

Reducing Atlantic City's homeless population is a key element of a new
effort to help the struggling casino resort get back on its feet after
more than four years of plunging revenues, lost market share and
layoffs. A state agency plans to allocate just under $100,000 to a
local homeless shelter to buy bus or plane tickets back home for any
homeless person who wants to leave.

PLUNGING REVENUES are a good reason to get rid of the homeless when
other reasons are not so obvious. Who wants to be near them? GOOD
REASON TO AVOID PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION.

Whether you believe or not, MY "PRAYERS" HAVE BEEN ANSWERED. Or maybe
it was my noise, but whatever the reason, why waste time when the
Dutch figured it out a long time ago? "When the mountain doesn't come
to you," said the prophet, "you go to the mountain." Peace on Earth
and Hallelujah!

The Dutch government is sending three of that cycling- crazy country's
top bicycle experts to help transform Miami's car-choked downtown into
bike-friendly territory.

Beware. The Dutch are coming, and they're armed with a radical idea
about the future of transportation that could cure obesity and global
warming, stall traffic congestion, and maybe shake the very steering
wheel from your hands:

Bicycles.

Scoff if you must, but their arrival signals that Miami is getting
more serious about making room for cyclists.
