And a "restroom" is about the last place I'd want to catch up on my

Agreed. I own a dinky small business and the only fees "banking" fees I've
ever paid have been to my credit card processor, not my bank. My bank even
offers pre-paid envelopes so I can mail in check deposits for free, then
they mail back the receipt. I don't use that service now, but when I
traveled around the country on the Ren Faire circuit it was extremely
useful.

The agreements allow a discount for cash customers. A surcharge for
credit cards is not allowed. Any advertised prices must be the
non-discounted price for credit card customers.
Flying J truck stops got in trouble with Visa for advertising the cash
price for diesel and adding 6 cents per gallon for credit cards. Flying J
quit taking Visa at their truck pumps rather than change their advertised
price.

Can buy and sell on ebay.
Not so sure about the high paying bit - there are several I can think
of but all take longer than 5 weeks to set up and get going to more
than cover costs.
Still, if you have the right skills, some employers will pay for work
done.
Writing articles for magazines is profitable. But can you write well
enough to be noticed in the slush pile?

Putting modesty to one side, I am quite quick-witted with a sharp
tongue. But that's a symptom of my depression. I can write good
english and amuse ppl,but I don't want to. Because that'll be the
depression talking. Most ppl won't understand what I just wrote. Ppl
who're clinically depressed often become very witty. Just as blind ppl
develop acute hearing. I don't really know the reason,maybe it's a
defence mechanism of sorts.
I like the idea of buying and selling on ebay a lot. On laptop
computers I can imagine making 40 pounds on each laptop won't be too
hard. But how do I take the laptops to the post office, with my broken
foot?
Sorry for sounding so damn lazy, but what I'd really like is to have
some pharmaceuticals injected into me, and then in 5 weeks time, I can
go to the Clinical research companies headquarters and have the
necessary blood tests, and be paid.

I would recommend going on line and looking up books in the library on
home based businesses, find one you like, and order it from half.com,
or amazon.com in the used books section. I taught myself how to open
and run a home-based landscaping business from a book I read in the
botanical garden library. I can tell you the publisher if you want,
they publish other books on home based businesses. I would look into
micro-businesses, there are loans if you want to start up your own
business. If I think of anything else I will let you know. I may still
have some old paperwork from some organizations I got help from when I
was doing that.

If you can't leave the house, you'll have a difficult time selling on eBay.
You need to be able to find stuff to sell and get to the Post Office to ship
what you've sold. Trying to start on eBay now as a "hobby" seller would be
difficult as well. It's not the fun easy way to sell that it was 5 years
ago.

When a baby is asleep, the mother is the one that will get the most
rest (or so the saying goes). Therefore, a baby mattress is very
important both for you and your baby as well. Babies needs their sleep
as much as the adults, and more so because most of their growing and
development occurs during that time.

I can't make a heck of a lot of sense out of your sketch. But, it sounds
like you've determined that you need to do some pipe fitting. Have at it!
I've seen that "change the valve on the fly" technique. And done it myself
at least a few times. Years of heating and AC work gives you the chance to
learn all kinds of new skills.
If you "cut off" the pipe with a hacksaw, or pipe cutter, you'll need to
thread the pipe end.

Question about installing a Frigidaire GLCF386DS gas range...
See sketch here:
http://www.geocities.com/claudeballsjr/range.html
This sketch shows the gas supply pipe coming from the wall as now is. I
don't have the new range here and can't find info at frigidaire.com or from
the dealer. I would like to know before the range is delivered if there is
room inside the back of the range to accommodate this pipe and valve, or if
I need to remove it and use a smaller one.
Problem is that the pipe will need to be cut off and I'm trying to avoid
that.
Thanks,
Claude

The Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous
The relative success of the A.A. program seems to be due to the fact that an
alcoholic who no longer drinks has an exceptional faculty for "reaching" and
helping an uncontrolled drinker.
In simplest form, the A.A. program operates when a recovered alcoholic
passes along the story of his or her own problem drinking, describes the
sobriety he or she has found in A.A., and invites the newcomer to join the
informal Fellowship.
The heart of the suggested program of personal recovery is contained in
Twelve Steps describing the experience of the earliest members of the
Society:
1) We admitted we were powerless over alcohol - that our lives had become
unmanageable.
2) Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to
sanity.
3) Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as
we understood Him.
4) Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
5) Admitted to God, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature
of our wrongs.
6) Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
7) Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
8) Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make
amends to them all.
9) Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so
would injure them or others.
10) Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly
admitted it.
11) Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact
with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us
and the power to carry that out.
12) Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried
to carry this message to alcoholics and to practice these principles in all
our affairs.
Newcomers are not asked to accept or follow these Twelve Steps in their
entirety if they feel unwilling or unable to do so.
They will usually be asked to keep an open mind, to attend meetings at which
recovered alcoholics describe their personal experiences in achieving
sobriety, and to read A.A. literature describing and interpreting the A.A.
program.
A.A. members will usually emphasize to newcomers that only problem drinkers
themselves, individually, can determine whether or not they are in fact
alcoholics.
At the same time, it will be pointed out that all available medical
testimony indicates that alcoholism is a progressive illness, that it cannot
be cured in the ordinary sense of the term, but that it can be arrested
through total abstinence from alcohol in any form.

I'm not sure which kind of computer Jesus used, but I know that when
he entered Jerusalem, a lot of his followers were using Palms.

Normally, posts of this nature come from alt.white-power or anonymous
trolls. You, however are a regular.
Your post is absolutely unacceptable.
You are an intolerant religious bigot and you befoul your chosen faith
by posting such garbage under your username.
I have long thought you were a little bit of a wingnut, now i am
convinced that you're just a throbbing forehead shit-for-brains asshole.
Kindly go fuck yourself, shut up and go away.

you really do not get it. If you want to "hate" a religion, fine, do it
and be honest and even handed about it.
But pretending that you religion is better than any one else's, that
it's the One True Path to salvation is arrogant bigoted bullshit.
Geert Wilders is doing a fine job and i support him unreservedly and
whole heartedly. But he's not trying to claim christianity is the one
true way.
May you reap what the full measure of what you sow, and may your harvest
be bounteous.

Now, to anyone within the sound of my voice who has wondered regarding our
Christianity, I bear this witness. I testify that Jesus Christ is the
literal, living Son of our literal, living God. This Jesus is our Savior and
Redeemer who, under the guidance of the Father, was the Creator of heaven
and earth and all things that in them are.
Who hasn't studied LDS doctrine, in this conversation?

I am pleased that you have apparently found so much comfort in your faith.
Please study your faith a bit more. Jesus is the Son of God who is the
Creator.
Blessed be.

I was right! This poor BBW has been arrested on trumped up charges.
Fat people have no chance in the justice system.

Where's the evidence that the charges are trumped up? Or is this
just based on your personal perception of what might be happening?
