The deal was that the Obi 100 series boxes were unsupported as of that date over 5 years ago. The Obi 300 series DOES work with Google Voice with no interruptions (though there was a firmware, etc update needed when the change occurred). I have an Obi 302 (2 line/phone out box) working right now right next to my screen, in fact. The Obi 300 & several other devices/phones aimed at the business customer also work fine with Google Voice these days. Personally, I hate it when a manf. either cannot or does not allow their devices to continue working, including Apple, which you can't get anything for these days on older devices, and it looks like even the iPhone 5 is heading for Bricksville, as they apparently won't have IOS updates for it beyond ver. 12.x, with the newest devices on ver. 13.x now!
